Meet Juan Ortigoza

We recently connected with Juan Ortigoza and have shared our conversation below.

Juan, we’ve been so fortunate to work with so many incredible folks and one common thread we have seen is that those who have built amazing lives for themselves are also often the folks who are most generous. Where do you think your generosity comes from?

When you see the world out there, and you decide to be kind, generous, to me, it’s like being brave.

I believe genuine generosity can change lives, impact people, and most importantly… touch hearts.

My dad is the kindest person I know. He’s always treated everyone with warmth… And that creates genuine connections with other people. I feel like I learned that from him.

And that’s the kind of leader I want to be.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

My story begins in this country three years ago. Just imagine this for a second: a 24-year-old Venezuelan boy recently arrived in the country, in debt and with no money. Most people would think it’s illogical to start a business at that point. Well, guess what… That was the main reason I started.

People wait a long time for the perfect moment to start things, which… Spoiler alert: the moment never comes.

If there’s one thing that defines me, it’s this phrase: “better done than perfect.” And since I started my sales business, I’ve never really overdone things. I dedicated myself to learning, to working tirelessly, year after year. I knew that if I worked a little harder than everyone else, one day a week more than everyone else, the results would come three times faster. As difficult as it was at first, my mind was 100% focused on the goal.

I am dedicated to training high-performance salespeople and leaders. We want to grow our team and reach a million dollars by 2025. That is why I am currently looking for new leaders for my organization. People want to see new faces in my field. The new generation promises to contribute a lot to this economy, and my main focus is on finding that talent and guiding them on the path I took.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

1) Learn a high-demand skill. The sales industry is one of the most valued in the market, which is why you see so many salespeople making good money. Perhaps this is your cue to learn sales. You will make good money, however, you won’t get rich selling products or services; you will do so with a business, and that is what I offer.

2) Work on your mindset. The path of entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart. It is important that you apply concepts such as discipline, perseverance, consistency, patience, and focus. All of these ingredients make up success; you just have to learn how to combine them all.

3) Be a leader from day one. Start by leading yourself. Today, on social media, you can make a huge impact just by recording your process and showing it to the world. Start by leading yourself, and little by little, you will see how other people join your cause.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

Actually I Am. I’m looking for people who want to radically change their lives, who want to live on their own terms. Especially today’s youth, who have many interesting proposals, and I’d like to learn from them. So, if any of our readers between 20 and 30 years old want to start a career in sales and start a business, you can find all my contact information on my Instagram @juanortigozad.
