We recently connected with Emily Lily and have shared our conversation below.
Emily, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
You know, when I think about where my resilience comes from, it really comes down to staying connected to my intuition and this deep belief I have in oneness—how all life forms are connected. That belief was tested and strengthened during the most terrifying experience of my life: a medical crisis, or as I call it, a Spiritually Transformative Experience, that completely changed me.
It all started with my elderly dog, Rusty, who I adopted as an 11 year old senior. One day, he started acting so strangely—pressing his nose and paws into my lower abdomen, almost aggressively. It was so odd and persistent that I thought, “Okay, I need to get this checked out.” That’s how I found out I had a massive ovarian tumor.
I’ll never forget standing in my backyard when the doctor called with the results. It felt like the ground had disappeared under me. I looked around at the trees, the sky, my dogs, the birds, and thought, *Am I leaving all of this? Is this it?* In that moment, I felt anything but resilient. I was terrified and filled with an overwhelming sense of dread.
The next few weeks were a whirlwind: scans, bloodwork, specialists, death counseling, the “get your affairs in order” advice from my doctor… I was even reading about near-death experiences, trying to make sense of what was happening in the event I was going to die. But through all of that, I kept receiving this intuitive message. It would come to me in the darkest moments—when I was sobbing during an MRI, or looking in the mirror and wondering if I’d make it to my next birthday. I’d hear, “You’re going to surprise everyone.”
That message anchored me. I didn’t know how I’d surprise everyone, but it gave me something to hold onto. Eventually, I went into surgery not knowing what they’d find or what my future would look like. When I woke up, my oncologist told me they’d tested the tumor thoroughly, and there was no cancer. She was shocked. She even said the words: “You really surprised everyone.”
I still get chills when I think about it. That experience taught me so much about trusting my intuition and the energy around me, even when everything feels hopeless. It also reminded me how interconnected we all are—me, Rusty, the trees in my backyard, the universe.
People often say, “I’m so sorry you went through that,” or some version of, “I’m so sorry that happened to you.” And I get where they’re coming from, but honestly? I’m so grateful for the experience. More than anything, it strengthened my spiritual resilience. I often joke that I gained 20 years of spiritual insight in just two.
So when I talk about resilience, it’s not just about pushing through hard times. For me, it’s about listening to those quiet, intuitive messages, staying connected to something greater than myself, and remembering that even in the darkest moments, there’s always the potential for light.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
My work isn’t about giving you answers—it’s about guiding you back to your own. I help people, especially marginalized genders, break free from the conditioning that tells them to shrink, conform, or second-guess their own wisdom. This is about spiritual sovereignty, radical self-trust, and stepping into your power on your own damn terms.
Through mentorship, circles, energy work, and coaching, I hold space for you to reclaim what’s always been yours—your intuition, your magic, your ability to lead your life with clarity and confidence.
Because let’s be real…
Living authentically in a world built on patriarchy, capitalism, and systems that weren’t designed for us? It’s no small task. We’re constantly told to tone it down, to follow the script, to be palatable. And after a while, we start to wonder—who am I outside of all this conditioning?
But here’s the truth: within that struggle lies a massive opportunity. To break the cycle. To reclaim your energy. To dismantle the boxes you were never meant to fit into. Each step toward your authentic self is an act of resistance. Each choice to trust yourself is revolutionary.
I know what it’s like to stand at the edge of the unknown and choose to trust myself anyway. And I want that for others, too.
Right now, one of the offerings I’m most fired up about is my Spiritual Sovereignty Mentorship Program. It’s designed for those ready to step fully into their magic, deepen their spiritual practice, and move through life’s transitions with clarity and confidence.
This isn’t about following someone else’s blueprint. This is about tapping into your own wisdom—with the right guidance and tools to support you. We weave together intuitive coaching, energy healing, channeling, and custom rituals—tailored specifically to YOU.
This might be for you if…
✨ You’re drawn to developing intuition, or spiritual practices but don’t know where to start. I’ll help you connect the dots in ways that feel powerful and accessible.
✨ You crave support and community as you grow. You don’t have to do this alone.
✨ You’re navigating a major life transition—career changes, personal growth, or stepping into a new phase of life. Let’s move through it with intention.
✨ You struggle with boundaries and constantly give to others, leaving yourself drained. It’s time to reclaim your energy and live unapologetically.
This Work Changes Lives.
The transformations I’ve witnessed in my circles and mentorships are profound. People leave feeling more grounded, seen, and empowered than ever before. One participant described it as “a warm, welcoming space that allowed me to share from my heart and feel heard.” Another said, “Emily’s insight has provided me with clarity and direction during some of the most challenging times in my life.”
That’s why I do this.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The Three Most Impactful Skills I’ve Learned on This Journey
Let’s be real—personal and spiritual growth isn’t always some soft, dreamy awakening. Sometimes it’s a full-blown rebellion. It’s unlearning the bullshit we’ve been taught, reclaiming our power, and daring to exist on our own terms. Looking back, here are the three things that changed everything for me:
1. Intuition: Trusting My Own Wisdom
My intuition has saved me more times than I can count. It’s that deep knowing that doesn’t need approval, proof, or permission. Even when logic, fear, or other people’s expectations tried to drown it out, my intuition kept leading me back to what was right for me.
For those just starting out: Start listening. Pay attention to that gut feeling, that pull in your chest, that whisper in your mind that says, this way. It doesn’t always make sense at first—but the more you trust it, the louder and clearer it gets.
2. Boundaries: Saying No Like I Mean It
If I had a dollar for every time I ignored my own needs to keep the peace, I’d be retired by now. But here’s the thing—people-pleasing is just self-abandonment with good PR. Boundaries aren’t just about protecting your time; they’re about protecting your energy, your sanity, your magic.
For those just starting out: Where are you over-giving? Where do you feel drained, resentful, or taken for granted? That’s where a boundary is screaming to be set. Say no without apologizing. Take up space. Wear whatever you want. Stop explaining yourself. Boundaries are how you teach people how to treat you—and more importantly, how you treat yourself.
3. Authenticity: Owning Every Part of Who I Am
The world will always try to box you in. Shrink here, tone it down there, don’t be too much. The more I stepped into my real self—my loud, witchy, intuitive, passionate self—the more everything fell into place. Authenticity is a magnet. It draws in the right people, the right opportunities, and the kind of life that actually fits you.
For those just starting out: Pay attention to where you feel like you’re performing instead of being. Where are you shrinking? Who are you trying to impress? Let it go. The people who are meant for you will find you when you show up as your whole, unapologetic self.
Here’s the Truth:
This isn’t about “becoming” anything—it’s about remembering who you’ve always been. Learning to trust yourself, protect your energy, and show up as YOU isn’t just personal growth—it’s revolutionary. And it changes everything.
The world is waiting for the real you.
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
YES—I’m always open to powerful, purpose-driven collaborations! I want to connect with individuals and organizations who passionate about empowering marginalized genders, reclaiming spiritual sovereignty, and dismantling oppressive systems. If you believe in the power of intuition, authenticity, and radical community care, let’s create something impactful together.
Who I’m Looking to Collaborate With:
– Spiritual coaches, mentors, and healers – Let’s join forces to create transformative workshops, mentorship programs, and events that guide people toward deeper self-trust, intuitive leadership, and unapologetic personal power.
– Conference organizers & event hosts – If you need a speaker or facilitator who brings spiritual depth, and practical tools for stepping into leadership, reclaiming intuition, and living in alignment—I’m ready. Let’s inspire and activate together.
