Meet Lisa Snyder

We were lucky to catch up with Lisa Snyder recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Lisa, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

If someone had told me as a young engineering student in Iowa that in 35 years, I’d be a medical intuitive, channeling ancient loving energy through my voice; I would have thought they were nuts! My purpose did not unfold overnight. This has been a lifelong journey full of ups and downs, fear and joy, and knowing when to stay or move on. It has shaped me into who I am today and the work that I do with the incredible people I have met on my path.

Like so many of us, my natural ability to connect with spirit was discouraged because it wasn’t something people talked about when I was a kid; plus having fear as a child seeing and feeling things I couldn’t explain or share didn’t help. My parents didn’t like how sensitive I was so it felt safer to focus on grades and an education. I earned my degree in engineering in an attempt to please my parents. It didn’t occur to me to trust my own heart at the time.

As a young engineer fresh out of college, I experienced sexual harassment by a senior manager 45 years older than me and I thought it was my fault. This was before companies started taking this seriously. Luckily, a friend encouraged me to seek out therapy and I started to learn what true support systems look like. My inner guidance kept nudging me on a new path. I stepped into my power by bringing the issue to Human Resources. Now I can see the teaching moments and teachers for what they were.

How many of us change direction not realizing the significance it may have on our lives at the time? Pivoting from corporate life to raising my family full-time was a big shift in my identity This guided me to delve deeper into spirituality, energy work, and revisiting the intuition that had been shut down at an early age.

Many of us, myself included, were raised around narcissism, formality, and lack of emotion and empathy so I am grateful I had the chance to be the mother I always wanted for my own children. I realize this was my first opportunity to subconsciously heal ancestral trauma. This taught me many things that I could use to empathize and help others when dealing with hardship which I could only get through caring, loving, and raising my children through their own milestones.

In 2016, my life took a major turn. I was training to be a craniosacral therapist, and suddenly I started to smell bonfire smoke in places where it wouldn’t make sense. I learned this wasn’t a medical condition, but instead my naturally sensitive sense of smell getting stronger and more psychic called “clairalience”. Plus, it was a foreshadowing from my spirit guides of more to come.

A few months later, I was in a meditative state where I saw a Native American chief in my mind’s eye, and had the compulsion to bring forth sound with my voice. Because I didn’t know what it was, I only shared it with my immediate family at the time. I needed to make certain I was connecting with love and understand what was happening because as I like to joke – it did not come with an instruction manual!

With time I learned this was a form of sound healing, others have called it channeling or light language, but I prefer the term heart-to-heart communication with Source. Intuitively, I knew to set the intention to connect only with the highest frequency of love. This was another big fork in the road for me, and I made the decision to embrace this new and uncomfortable path. Over the years, I learned to share and deepen this connection, which led me towards mediumship, spiritual empowerment, meditation, and utilizing my intuition and connection to help others.

I have had over 27 jobs in my lifetime but over the last few years, I’ve really honed in on my purpose and how I can help others. I had to shut down my craniosacral therapy practice due to the pandemic and figure out how to rebuild my business with a new set of intentions. I went through a painful divorce in my 50s and moved 1,200 miles away to start a brand-new chapter.

I was in a state of transformation that was by no means easy, but it has positioned me in a way to help other women going through similar struggles and empathize with those hardships. Life can be so hard and throw us some really difficult situations and experiences, but we can work, learn, and grow together to build a community of love and support.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

When clients truly understand they have the power to heal themselves; when they are able to clear out stress and fear; and deepen their own connection with inner wisdom and guidance – this is what gives me joy as I support them with my work. They raise their vibrational frequency which naturally helps everyone they meet and spend time with plus heal their ancestral line.

I am a medium & medical intuitive, but also a spiritual empowerment teacher and most recently a breathwork coach. I connect with highest Source of love and light plus facilitate high vibrational frequencies through my voice. This provides insight and healing, clearing out old patterns, frequencies, and energies.

My podcast “Raise Your Vibe & Heal” (on YouTube and podcast platforms) is an opportunity to share channeled energy healing meditations plus guest interviews who have had profound journeys, or knowledge; and my own personal experiences that may be valuable for listeners on their own spiritual path. As a first-time author, I was invited to share a chapter about my journey in the book “Gathering at the Doorway: An Anthology of Signs, Visits, and Messages from the Afterlife” curated by Camille Dan. I am extremely grateful Spirit has been very patient with me over the years!

This year I am offering classes in my Breathwork Meditation Community. In addition, I’m developing a program to help clients deepen their intuition. My newsletter is a great opportunity to stay connected which readers can join on my website: www.LisaHSnyder.com. You can also visit me at the 2026 Body Mind Spirit Expo in Raleigh, NC.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Life gives us a tremendous opportunity to grow and expand but my motto is never losing your sense of humor! It really is about our ability to move into a state of balance.

One of the biggest skills that has been most impactful on my journey is seeing every person as a teacher. Although not always easy, it helps put an experience into perspective and eventually learn from it instead of suffering from the aftermath. It helps with forgiving those who you felt mistreated you, and moving on from trauma and negative experiences. We can pivot into seeing those types of situations as a learning experience and then grow and move on to a better, more resilient version of ourselves.

Second is having a growth mindset, regardless of age. Being an eternal student – whether it’s books, classes, podcasts, or retreats – has allowed me to be open to new ideas and concepts. I have found the more I learn the more I don’t know, but it’s all about the mindset and the continuation of curiosity and openness to new concepts that may change how we think and do things to leave us better off than we were before.

Finally, learning to be patient, gentle, and compassionate with myself, and ultimately the power of loving myself has been extremely impactful on my journey. It’s too easy to be upset with mistakes and things that I wish I would’ve done differently when I was younger, but showing that version of myself love and compassion has helped me and her learn to grow and forgive herself and others. Aligning with that value will attract the right people into our lives, and help us find a community we feel we belong in to support us along our journey, but it all starts within.

How would you describe your ideal client?

My ideal clients are women of all ages, but especially those over 40 who believe there’s more than just this life and have a deep desire to connect with a higher power, whether that’s God, Source, or the Universe. Having faced significant life challenges, such as the loss of a loved one, divorce, narcissistic relationships, major relocations, or health crises, she has emerged as a catalyst for healing and is now seeking further personal growth.

She is open to energy work and spiritual practices, and seeks to release fear-based thoughts and emotions to raise her vibrational frequency and feel empowered. Committed to learning new techniques and tools to deepen her spiritual journey and connect with guides, angels, and her higher self, she is looking to unlock a deeper sense of fulfillment and purpose. She may be on a relatively new spiritual path and is eager to explore deeper spiritual growth. She understands on some level that as she heals herself, she becomes a brighter light to help others heal including her ancestral line.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
