We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Arden Goellnicht. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Arden below.
Arden, first a big thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and insights with us today. I’m sure many of our readers will benefit from your wisdom, and one of the areas where we think your insight might be most helpful is related to imposter syndrome. Imposter syndrome is holding so many people back from reaching their true and highest potential and so we’d love to hear about your journey and how you overcame imposter syndrome.
When we first started, imposter syndrome definitely crept in. I already knew I was passionate about wellness—tea, herbs, our connection to nature—but I still found myself questioning whether I was truly “qualified” to share it. What helped was stepping back and realizing that just because something comes naturally doesn’t mean it isn’t valuable. I began to fully own what I knew and what I loved.
A big shift happened when I stopped trying to sound like anyone else and focused instead on being honest about my actual strengths. The imposter feelings started to fade as I leaned into what felt true to me. There’s a big difference between the discomfort of growth and the discomfort of forcing something that isn’t aligned. One expands you; the other drains you.
Hearing other people’s stories helped too. Everyone feels it at some point, especially when stepping into something new. But if you stay curious, grounded in who you are, and committed to learning, the doubt really does start to lose its power!

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m the co-founder of Mindful Moon Wellness, where we create organic herbal tea blends that support simple, intentional living. What lights me up is bringing wellness back to its roots—close to nature, in sync with the seasons, and grounded in presence. I love working with others on custom blends, serving our tea at parties, and experimenting with recipes that make herbal wellness feel fun and approachable! Right now, I’m open to seeing where this journey takes us—staying present, curious, and committed to making wellness feel less complicated and more connected.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Curiosity: I’m always exploring, asking questions, and following what genuinely interests me. When we first started the business, my husband and I went to New York and visited over 20 different tea houses and shops—just to see what was out there and soak it all in. Even now, we love trying new blends when we’re out, talking to people about their tea experiences, and staying open to learning every step of the way.
Mindfulness: This keeps me rooted in the process. For me, it means paying attention to what I’m doing and why, instead of constantly rushing to the next thing. When you’re too focused on what’s ahead, it’s easy to miss the small, meaningful moments that actually shape the whole journey.
Adaptability: Starting a business comes with a lot of unknowns, and I’ve learned to stay flexible and open to change. Whether it’s shifting timelines, adjusting products, or experimenting with new strategies, being adaptable has helped me keep momentum without losing clarity. I’ve found that when we’re really paying attention and listening, the next step always becomes clear.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
Yes! I love collaborating with people who are passionate about wellness, mindfulness, and creating beautiful, intentional experiences!!
