We recently connected with Janel Hedberg and have shared our conversation below.
Janel , we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I was exposed to disease and death at an early age including my grandmother from Breast cancer. The experience sparked my curiosity and passion for health and wellness. Over the years through continued education, and the loss of many loved ones, I have fine tuned my skills and services to help others achieve a heathier life both physically and emotionally.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am a lymphatic enhancement specialist, with a focus on autoimmune disorders and scar tissue repair. With 30 years total experience in the health industry, We customize programs that uses both modern biohacking technology along with intuitive therapeutic touch. Educating clients along the way for long term success, and monitoring their progress every step of the way for optimal results and long term success.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I feel fortunate that I was able to pursue my passion as a career, which has never felt like work or a job. So, I believe my qualities include strong work ethic, a desire to continue learning new skills and information, and a stubbornness that prevents me from giving up easily. My advice to others would be to harness the same passion and desire, and not be afraid to fail multiple times while fine tuning who they are in the world. Be content starting with the grunt work, as that is where we learn humility and gratitude. Surround yourself with those smarter and more successful learning from their success. And most importantly live always with love in your heart for yourself and everyone you you encounter.
As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
the most important book is the bible, and the story of Jesus. Though I was raised a Christian, I may not have always followed in the footsteps of Jesus. I found my way back after going through a major transition in life that included extreme betrayal. Learning the bible, especially with the bible app, helped me understand a lot about forgiveness and humility. God never gives us more than we can handle. 1 Corinthians 10:13 Jesus endured the ultimate betrayal, and yet still loved all those who ultimately sent him to the cross. Through learning of his journey, and how he truly lived, allowed me to forgive those who betrayed me, and myself, while also finding the strength to completely start my life over.
Psalm 139:14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
