Meet Jennifer Kaplan

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jennifer Kaplan. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Jennifer , so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

Developing confidence and self-esteem wasn’t something I consciously thought about growing up. I was always curious and energetic. I loved to participate in activities, try new things, go to camp, make new friends. My parents instilled in us that there wasn’t anything we couldn’t do or achieve.

The next part of the interview is where we’d love to learn more about you, your story and what you are focused on professionally – whether it’s a business, nonprofit, artistic career etc. Please tell our readers about what you do, what you feel is most exciting or special about it, as well as anything else you’d like folks to know about your brand/art/etc.
At Evolve PR & Marketing, we are storytellers. We help clients uncover what makes them truly unique and then find the best ways to share that with the world. What excites me most is watching those stories spark real connection, whether that’s with customers, communities, or decision-makers.

We work across a wide range of industries, and no two days are the same. That’s part of what keeps it so energizing. One day we’re launching a new restaurant, and the next we’re helping a nonprofit raise awareness or funds for an important cause.

What’s most rewarding is when a client tells us that our work helped them reach a goal or shift a perception. Those moments make all the behind-the-scenes effort worthwhile. It’s a powerful reminder of how impactful the right message, told in the right way, can be.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

The three qualities, skills or areas of knowledge that have been most impactful in my journey include an ability to genuinely connect with people, confidence and self-trust as well as the business exposure and acumen I developed from growing up with parents who were entrepreneurs.

For those early in their professional journey, or anyone really, I believe you should lean into what feels natural and aligned with your passions and strengths. When your work fits who you are, it fuels you, not drains you.

We’ve all got limited resources, time, energy, focus etc – so if you had to choose between going all in on your strengths or working on areas where you aren’t as strong, what would you choose?

I believe in leaning into your strengths. That’s where your greatest impact and fulfillment come from. I’ve always been a glass-half-full kind of person, and that mindset has shaped how I lead and how I grow. Focusing on what I do best allows me to show up fully and deliver real value, but that doesn’t mean I stop evolving. I’m always learning, stretching, and looking for ways to get better, both personally and professionally. Growth and strength can go hand in hand.
