Meet Lila Lopez

We were lucky to catch up with Lila Lopez recently and have shared our conversation below.

Lila , so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.

I keep my creativity alive by staying connected to nature. It’s my greatest source of inspiration and the place where I feel most grounded and open. I’m a runner, and one of my favorite ways to recharge is by running on the beach. The sound of the waves, and the open sky create a meditative space where ideas start to flow naturally.
That connection helps reset my mind and often sparks new ideas that I bring into my work.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I’m a visual artist and graphic designer originally from Nicaragua, now based in Miami. My work blends traditional and digital mediums, often exploring the relationship between nature and technology. What excites me most is creating pieces that spark emotion and invite reflection—whether through painting, digital art, or mixed media.
Right now, I’m expanding my work into more digital formats and preparing for upcoming exhibitions and collaborative projects. In addition to my art practice, I offer graphic design services and host workshops in digital art, where I teach others how to use creative tools to express their ideas visually.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

The three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are discipline, consistency, and maintaining a positive attitude—no matter the adversity.
As an artist and designer, there are always ups and downs, moments of doubt, or creative blocks. But staying disciplined helped me keep showing up, even on the hard days. Consistency allowed me to build momentum and evolve my style over time, and a positive mindset kept me open to learning and growing from every experience.
For those just starting out, my advice is to stay committed to your craft—even when progress feels slow. Set small, manageable goals. Surround yourself with people who believe in you, and don’t be afraid to ask for help or feedback. Most importantly, be kind to yourself and keep going. Your journey is unique, and every moment you invest in your growth matters.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

Definitely—I’m always looking to collaborate within the art community. I believe that collaboration is one of the most powerful ways to grow, share ideas, and create meaningful work. I’m especially interested in connecting with other artists, curators, galleries, museums, and cultural organizations for creative projects, exhibitions, and events.
I’m also looking to expand my network in the field of graphic design, working with brands or individuals who are passionate about visual storytelling. Whether it’s a creative campaign, a digital art project, or a community-based initiative, I’m always open to new ideas and partnerships. If you’re reading this and feel aligned with my work, I’d love to hear from you!
