Laurel, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

I have had a lot of practice in life being resilient. I have experienced many hardships and disappointments along the journey. These tough lessons have taught me to surrender and have the opportunity to learn and grow. My ability to springboard and move forward has proved fruitful through consistency, determination and grit. And a lot of prayer!

Every setback is an opportunity to practice gratitude. Adversity teaches invaluable lessons. Expressing gratitude for the growth that comes from challenges can transform a setback into a stepping stone towards even greater success. It’s the silent force that fuels optimism, fosters resilience, and propels you to overcome obstacles. Gratitude should fuel a sense of responsibility to give back, to make a positive impact in the world. Gratitude is the practice of acknowledging and appreciating the positives in our lives, both big and small.
