Meet Rehl Clarke

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Rehl Clarke. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Rehl, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?

My optimism comes from not taking life so seriously. Life is meant to be fun and fulfilling or new adventures and memories. If you are not optimistic I believe your life wont be as fun as it could be!!

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I started an activewear brand called Cured Active. It’s focused on healing the soul, mind, and body through movement—whether big or small, every bit makes a difference. A key part of this is finding movement outdoors. I’m a firm believer in the benefits of getting outside, whether it’s hiking, trail running, yoga, or anything in between.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Being consistent is a huge one, as there are many times when it can become very frustrating—waiting on a manufacturer, a design, etc. You have to keep going and not give up, even when it feels like the issues are never-ending.

Creativity is one of the biggest ones. I really feel like you need to bring your eye and vision to your products. If you don’t allow yourself to be creative, you’ll never fully love your product.

Grace has been big for me in the way I try to give myself as much grace as possible when something goes wrong or doesn’t go the way I was hoping or expecting—you just keep pushing forward and learn from all the ups and downs.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?

The most impactful thing my parents did for me was definitely not giving me anything without working for it. I never grew up with an allowance, and my parents never gave me money if my friends were going out to do things. I always had to figure it out and have a job to get what I wanted. I love my parents to death—they’re the best ever—and through what they did, they really instilled hard work and a no-complain attitude in me.
