Meet Stephen Tucker

We were lucky to catch up with Stephen Tucker recently and have shared our conversation below.

Stephen, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

I get my resilience from perspective. It’s easy to get caught in a negative perspective when things are not working out. Change your perspective, maintain your positivity, and keep pushing towards your goal.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

In 2022, I launched Bighorn Films LLC in Sheridan, Wyoming. Bighorn Films is a full service media production company that specializes in producing promotional content, luxury real estate videos, commercials, tourism content, documentary films, live video, and much more! We produce authentic, engaging content for clients across the United States.

With thoughtful coordination and an eye for detail, Bighorn Films works closely with clients to bring their vision to the screen using innovative cinematography alongside creative and effective storytelling techniques. Bighorn Films has a talented in-house graphics, editing and audio team, while utilizing both local film crews, and an elite network of media resources across the globe to meet the highest demands from our clients. Bighorn Films serves to pioneer, preserve, and celebrate the unique and intimate stories of each client.

Most recently, I am finishing on a feature length documentary film about iconic western history that took place in Johnson County, Wyoming.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I think the most impactful qualities I have learned along my journey is to follow your bliss, stay consistent and maintain perspective. If you are just starting out, try to figure out how to get paid to follow your bliss or to do your dream job. Perhaps you will have to do it for free for awhile, but stay consistent and build your skill. Maybe you will even have to invent the need to be able to do your dream job. Be consistent, keep at it. Along the way, you will get pushed down many times, but keep getting up and maintain your perspective.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?

The books and studies from scholar Joseph Campbell have been very helpful for me spiritually and professionally. In cinema, light is truth. Every story is unique and has its own path of light that needs to be expressed. Joseph Campbell is a beacon of light for anyone working in story telling or searching for spiritual meaning.
