Meet David Cholak

We were lucky to catch up with David Cholak recently and have shared our conversation below.

David , looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

I developed my work ethic from watching my parents work tirelessly to provide for our family. My mom started a small floral business, and I spent countless hours helping her with deliveries and arrangements. One summer, I remember waking up at 5 AM to help her prep for a big wedding. I saw firsthand how dedication and care make a difference. That experience taught me that success doesn’t come from luck, but from consistently showing up, even when it’s hard. Today, that same work ethic pushes me to go the extra mile for my clients and my team

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I own a floral design business that specializes in weddings and special events. Our mission is to bring magic to every celebration, from intimate gatherings to grand weddings. What excites me most is that every client’s story is different, and I get to create designs that reflect their personalities and dreams. We’ve built a team that shares this passion, and our work often brings smiles, tears of joy, and unforgettable memories. We’re also excited to be launching a new line of seasonal bouquets and offering floral design workshops for anyone who wants to learn the art of floristry

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Reflecting on my journey, the three most impactful qualities I’ve developed are:
1. Adaptability – The ability to pivot and adjust to new circumstances has been crucial. Whether it’s dealing with changes in the market or shifting client needs, being adaptable has allowed me to stay relevant and successful.
2. Work Ethic – Hard work is the backbone of any lasting success. From long hours prepping for weddings to making sure every client feels valued, my dedication to giving my best every time has built a reputation I’m proud of.
3. Vision and Creativity – Having a clear vision for where I wanted to take my business — and pairing that with creative thinking — has made my work stand out. Whether it’s developing unique floral designs or finding new ways to connect with clients, creativity has been at the heart of it all.

Advice for Others:
For those just starting out, I’d recommend:
• Embracing change — learn to see challenges as opportunities for growth.
• Working hard and staying consistent — success often comes from putting in the extra effort.
• Staying true to your vision — let your passion and creativity guide you, and don’t be afraid to do things differently.

These qualities have helped me build not just a business but a legacy that I’m proud of.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?

The most impactful thing my parents did for me was to believe in me unconditionally. They never wavered in their support, even when times were tough or when I doubted myself. Their faith gave me the confidence to take risks, dream big, and build a life and business that I’m proud of. Their love and guidance have been the foundation for everything I’ve accomplished.
