Tyra, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us today. We’re excited to dive into your story and your work, but first let’s start with a broader topic that might be stopping many of our readers from pursuing their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. How have you managed to persist despite haters and nay-sayers that inevitably follow folks who are doing something unique, special or off the beaten path?
I am the author of my chapter and I determine my outcome! I persist despite the haters, naysayers, etc by allowing God to order my steps! I always been optimistic. I look at life as even in a bad situation comes something good. It’s always going to be someone somewhere that is going to throw hate your way. I may bend but I will not break! God will put you together right before your haters. I keep showing up and doing me. I’m not in competition with no one other than myself! I have experience plenty’s of no’s and even at times no support in areas of my life. I continue to hold on to God’s unchanging hand! I know my purpose, I know my talents and realize my self worth. I try not to allow anything that is negative weigh on me. For every no a yes is somewhere. For every hater is someone supportive of you. Many people are counting on you to help pave the way so they can walk through the door. I am reminded that I Am Royalty! I Am a Heir of God!

I am an author, business owner of TYRAS CLASSTIQUE and I Am Royalty Apparel. I’m a chiropractic assistant as well as an Evangelist. As a chiropractic assistant I enjoy helping my patients nurturing them back to health. When patients are going through something they look for a cheerful face and outgoing personality to lift their spirits up. My newest business I launched is I Am Royalty Apparel. It is my personal clothing line as well as jewelry. I Am Royalty Apparel is designed to uplift the inner royalty in women and young ladies as heirs of God and joint heirs to Christ.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Three most important qualities or skills that has been impactful on my journey is having a vision, willingness to learn and having resilience. The best advice I can give for people early in their journey is to set goals for yourself. When you have a vision of what you want to do it helps you to plan accordingly. You can jot down your thoughts. Always remember life doesn’t come with a blueprint but your willingness to to learn will get you far in life. When you have resilience you are determined not to give up despite your challenges. For every no there is a yes. For every setback is a comeback. Sometimes there are no wrong or right way to do it. There are multiple ways to do one thing.
Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?
When I am overwhelmed I like to do something relaxing that calms me. I analyze what am I overwhelmed by and find balance. I like to make jewelry when I am overwhelmed. For me it’s therapeutic. It allows me to do what I like without any worries or cares. When you are overwhelmed find something that allows you to relax and unwind. Then analyze the it is that had you overwhelmed and find a balance.
