Meet Chelsea Martin

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Chelsea Martin a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Chelsea, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

Confidence has definitely been a work in progress. I didn’t just wake up one day feeling sure of myself, it’s something I’ve built over time. For me, it started with showing up for myself, being surrounded by people who truly believe in me, and having an incredibly supportive husband and family. They’ve been my foundation every step of the way.

When I was working as a nurse manager, I hit a point of burnout where I was considering leaving nursing altogether. Taking the leap into aesthetics changed everything. It challenged me to grow, take risks, and prioritize self-care in a new way. Focusing on how I felt on the outside helped shift how I felt on the inside which is when I started to build real confidence.

This work gave me more than just a career. It helped me reconnect with myself. Seeing that transformation happen in others has been just as powerful. I’ve watched people walk out feeling more secure, more radiant, and more themselves. Helping others feel good in their skin continues to remind me to offer that same care to myself. That has been the biggest part of building my own confidence.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I’ve been a nurse since 2014, and after working in women’s health, the ICU, and nursing leadership, I found my passion in aesthetic medicine. What began as a personal journey to reconnect with myself through self-care grew into a full-circle career helping others do the same.

I truly fell in love with aesthetics when I saw the transformation that goes beyond the surface. Of course, we love refreshed skin, but it’s the confidence and the way someone carries themselves after a treatment that makes it so rewarding. My goal has always been to create a space that feels safe and approachable, where people feel seen, heard, and celebrated, no matter where they’re starting from.

We focus on enhancing natural beauty and helping people feel confident and comfortable in their skin. We specialize in high-quality injectables, customized skin treatments, and skincare plans designed for lasting results. Every treatment is rooted in intention, offering thoughtful, science-backed solutions to meet the evolving needs of our patients.

We’re expanding training opportunities for those interested in working in aesthetics, hosting more community events, and creating experiences that go beyond the appointment itself. I believe aesthetic care should blend clinical expertise with genuine connection, and that’s what each provider at Nostalgia Aesthetics aims to bring to every patient experience.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, I’d say the biggest things were trusting myself and becoming confident, staying adaptable, and always focusing on the patient experience.

Confidence didn’t come right away. It was built over time by showing up, learning through trial and error, and being open to change. Being adaptable has helped me grow through every shift in my career, and making sure patients feel seen, safe, and heard is what keeps it all meaningful.

For anyone just starting out, remember to stay curious, trust yourself, and don’t be afraid to fail. Mistakes will happen, but they’re part of the process. Learn from them, grow through them, and don’t let them shake your confidence. You really can be whatever you want to be!

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

I’m always open to collaborating, especially with people and brands who align with our values. Connecting through authenticity, inclusivity, and confidence through self-care. Whether it’s other providers, local businesses, potential patients or creatives, I love building connections that bring value to both our communities. If you’re interested in collaborating or have a fun idea, feel free to reach out through our website or DM me on Instagram (@nostalgiaaesthetics_). I’d love to connect!
