Meet Bryan McClure

We were lucky to catch up with Bryan McClure recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Bryan, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

I’ve really found my purpose in Jesus Christ. Jesus tells me the two most important commandments are to love God with all my heart, all my mind and all my soul and to love others as I do myself. And that’s really the goal, to love and to serve others well in whatever it is that I’m doing. I haven’t perfected that and nor to I believe that I will ever be perfect at it in this life time, but I’m constantly aiming to refocus my attentions on helping and loving others well.

Years ago, God put a specific calling on my heart for the arts and subsequently, that calling became even more specific when He called me to the arts in the entertainment industry. My specific goal in the entertainment industry is to do my work to the best of my ability, to move and inspire others, and hopefully bring them closer to knowing Jesus.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I do lots of different things. From Graphic and Web Design, to Acting, Writing and Producing, I do lots of things to be creative.

In the most immediate, I’m very excited about some feature length films that we’re gearing up to make that I’ve co-written and will be producing and acting in.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Resilience, determination, and Faith.

The journey for most in the entertainment industry is not an easy one. You have to be willing to pick yourself back up after being knocked down time and time again. You have to be very focused and do the work to get yourself there. And for me, I don’t know how people purse this industry of such ups and downs without a strong Faith background. It’s been essential for me in the tough times to put my trust in something great than myself.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

This is very much a collaborative art form and I’m looking for lots of types of people to collaborate with.
As we gear up to make our features, we’re looking for executive producers and investors, we’ll be looking for talented directors and actors to fill in the roles. Ultimately when it comes time to making the film, we’ll be crewing up the entire film by placing people in their various skilled positions on set.

On the graphic and web design front, I’m looking for more individuals I can serve by creating designs or websites for them that help their businesses or ambitions thrive.
