We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Dave Weber. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Dave below.
Dave, sincerely appreciate your selflessness in agreeing to discuss your mental health journey and how you overcame and persisted despite the challenges. Please share with our readers how you overcame. For readers, please note this is not medical advice, we are not doctors, you should always consult professionals for advice and that this is merely one person sharing their story and experience.
I grew up being incredibly shy, anxious about change, had low self esteem, was very codependent, and was nervous in public settings. These situations included going to K-12 school everyday, church on Sundays, field trips, church ministering visits, and sometimes even just going to the store with my parents. Dealing with other health issues didn’t make my mental health any easier. I had allergies, night blindness and myopia, some asthma, my colon removed due to severe ulcerative colitis complications, and ear infections resulting in some hearing loss. As an adult I’ve had anxieties about going out at night because of needing to use the restroom frequently and not being able to see well. Using public transportation had made me feel super nervous too; fear of doing new bus routes and what if I missed a stop.
I mostly kept my feelings to myself growing up. In HS however, I opened up some concerns about my health to my father and that I didn’t think I could serve a full-time church mission. Those were expected of male 19 year olds in my church. I believed in my faith, but it this was a huge deal to commit to for poor, nervous me to handle. He encouraged me to apply for the mission like normal, and include my health issues on the application, to see if the church leaders would feel good about me doing full-time service or close to home and part-time service. I was ultimately deemed fit for full-time service. That decision has helped me to challenge my misperceptions about my health and anxiousness. Not only was I capable of serving honorably for 2 years, but I discovered that I had the power to change myself! No one is stuck the way they are.
On my mission in Nebraska, I had a realization that I could be my own person and not rely on how others are feeling that day. For example, I used to only feel happy when my parents were happy. I had allergies to corn, soy, and peanuts. Can you imagine what life was like in Nebraska with those sensitivities? Soy and corn fields as far as the eye can see affected me. I started developing severe hives being in corn country, and from accidentally consuming foods with hidden corn and soy derivatives. So I learned quickly how to communicate my dietary needs when eating with church members and investigators. I also had to learn to open up to complete strangers, have gospel discussions, extend gospel related commitments, and testify of the good news of the gospel. Once my mission was completed, I came home a new man. I went to college, found work, and got married to my sweetheart Kimberly Sechser—which has been over 10 years for us so far.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am a certified Foot Zoneologist. Here’s my description of what that is:
Foot zoning is applying manual pressure to the human body microsystem in the feet. This microsystem contains the signals (or points) in which we can access and balance the entire body: the nervous, digestive, respiratory, endocrine (hormones), integumentary (skin, hair, nails), skeletal, muscular, cardiovascular, lymphatic (part of the immune and circulatory systems), urinary, excretory (removes waste), reproductive, and emotional systems.
People get their feet zoned because they can, A. find out what’s imbalanced, and, B. boost their health from a cellular level.
For over 6 years I’ve been in practice with 100s of clients and providing relief on so many levels of their health.
What makes me unique is that I get to share relevant health information for my clients because of what I’ve overcome, applied, and learned. My eyesight is healing and I no longer wear glasses. I’m not driving yet, but perhaps someday I will. I have learned to combine and take my digestive meds together and that helps slow down the frequency of needing the restroom. Healing the liver and pancreas also greatly reduced my urgency to go so often. My allergies are so tamed now due to emotional and liver healing. My hearing is slowly, but surely improving. The foundation to my healing is foot zoning my own feet. I take my for zoning practice very seriously. I don’t skimp on my services. If I were to compare our bodies to cars, I’d say we’re Ferraris. Give your body the best, like a Ferrari needs the best oil and gas to properly run. In addition I’ve received herbal medicine schooling and love to educate about the proper use of our herbal friends.
My purpose is to bring into people’s lives true, all-natural healing. I help to bring back balance to their health—no matter the limiting beliefs or dis-ease they may suffer with, through foot zoning and health coaching! We rejoice together in our results from living true health principles!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
A dear friend of mine gave me this valuable insight that I use in my practice: be likeable, trustworthy, and always add value.
First, be likeable. This quality includes smiling, remembering your client’s background, using their preferred name, letting them talk, and showing up as your best self—be polite and dress well. It is so worth it to make these changes because it really shows that you care. I think everyone should read How to Make Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie because that’s where I these and other principles.
Second, be trustworthy. Since I started my practice, I had handed it over to God. I let Him guide me through my business dealings and decisions. Own up to your mistakes because they will happen and your clients will respect you for doing so. You may forget an appt, not counting change properly, or not present yourself well because you decided to binge videos right before a serving a client. If there’s a complaint, listen then apply change. Have integrity in all of your dealings with people and they will trust you to be their guide to great results. As foot zone practitoners, don’t cut the session short or skip areas of the foot; everyone gets the same, full session. If you feel something is out of balance, bring it up to them; they want to know what’s going on.
Third, add value. I’ve not only provided gifts of gratitude for my clients over the years, but I provide free coaching to those who are already at an appt and who wants it. I also allow all of my clients free access to contacting me between appts if they ever have additional questions. If there’s something they could do more of at home that will help them progress, and help they get to a point where they don’t need to come as frequently, that’s a win. I want to see more people become healthy enough to where they only come to me for maintenance sessions. Don’t hold back on what you can offer to get them the best results possible.
Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
I have a couple tricks that have been immensely helpful for me and others I’ve coached to do for feeling overwhelmed and stressed out.
Meditation is often mentioned with the topic of stress. For those who struggle to calm their minds down, even for a minute, I recommend doing this: sit still, close your eyes, and breathe deeply. Don’t worry about your mind wandering. Be curious about what pops up on your mind’s front stage. Let the thoughts drift in and out naturally as they come. Doing so will help you eventually be more focused on more intentional meditations.
Next, to naturally de-stress, think in terms of balancing the nervous system. An effective approach is using the Rezzimax Pain Tuner. This device uses the same frequencies as a cat’s purr. That purr, measured in hertz, just so happens to be part of the solfeggio range in music. Applying this frequency range to the nervous system aids the vagus nerve to be the prominent functioning nerve in your system. This is your rest–digest–restore nerve, which is extremely vital to promoting the body’s innate healing functions. I’ve used this device when I feel my muscles tense because of a past trauma being brought up to the surface. I’ve also used it to help me fall asleep faster, especially when my mind doesn’t want to shut down. I highly recommend getting one of these and tuning your nervous system to a calming mode. On my website I offer a discount code for the Rezzimax kit.
