We were lucky to catch up with Nicole Santoro recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Nicole, so excited to talk about all sorts of important topics with you today. The first one we want to jump into is about being the only one in the room – for some that’s being the only person of color or the only non-native English speaker or the only non-MBA, etc Can you talk to us about how you have managed to be successful even when you were the only one in the room that looked like you?
Being the only one in the room who believes in the type of work I do—energy healing, intuitive channeling, and holistic guidance—has taught me to anchor deeply into my own truth. I’ve learned that my effectiveness doesn’t come from external validation, but from the alignment I hold within. When others don’t understand or resonate with this path, I don’t try to convince—I embody. I let the energy speak for itself.
What keeps me grounded is the transformation I witness in the lives of those I serve. Even when I feel like the outlier, I remind myself that I’m a seed planter. I trust that simply by being present, holding space, and honoring what’s sacred to me, I make the invisible visible. Over time, I’ve built the courage to not shrink myself in the presence of disbelief, but to remain rooted in compassion, integrity, and service. My role isn’t to conform—it’s to illuminate another way of being.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
As a Reiki Therapeutic Touch Practitioner and Health & Wellness Coach. My work is rooted in helping people reconnect with their energy, their truth, and their inner wisdom. Each session I facilitate is more than just energy work—it’s a deeply intuitive and spiritually guided journey toward balance, healing, and clarity.
What makes my approach unique is how I blend energy healing with spiritual insight and holistic coaching. I don’t just move energy—I listen to it. I interpret the symbolic language of the body, the chakras, and the subconscious. Whether it’s a honeybee hovering in the solar plexus, ancestral energy rising through the root chakra, or messages arriving in the crown, I help clients understand the deeper spiritual meaning behind what’s showing up in their system.
As a wellness coach, I also work with clients to bring these insights into practical, everyday alignment. That might mean helping them set energetic boundaries, support their physical vitality, reconnect with their self-worth, or awaken their intuitive gifts. My sessions are a safe space where healing isn’t just about feeling better—it’s about remembering who you really are and claiming your full energetic presence in the world.
What’s most special about my brand is that it’s not about fixing—it’s about revealing. I don’t promise quick fixes or superficial peace. I offer depth, reflection, and the kind of transformation that starts within and radiates outward. In a world that often dismisses the unseen, I hold space for it—because I’ve learned that’s where the real healing lives.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, I’d say the three most impactful qualities on my journey have been deep intuitive trust, the ability to hold space without fixing, and a commitment to ongoing energetic and emotional self-awareness.
Intuitive Trust
Learning to trust my intuition—fully and unapologetically—was foundational. In the beginning, it felt like walking in the dark with only a flicker of light, but over time, I realized that flicker was the guide. It doesn’t shout; it whispers. The more I listened, the clearer it became.
Advice: Start small. Honor the nudges, the gut pulls, the quiet knowing. Let your inner voice have as much weight as logic or outside opinion. Practice making intuitive decisions in everyday life to build that muscle.
Holding Space Without Fixing
As both a Reiki practitioner and a wellness coach, I’ve learned that people don’t need to be fixed—they need to be seen, heard, and remembered back to themselves. Holding space means not rushing to offer solutions, but being present with someone’s process and trusting their capacity to heal.
Advice: When you’re with someone—client, friend, or even yourself—pause before offering advice. Listen deeply. Hold silence. Learn to trust the wisdom of the space itself. That’s where the transformation brews.
Energetic & Emotional Self-Awareness
This work is sacred—and it requires tending to my own energy with as much devotion as I offer to others. Knowing how my emotions move, how energy feels in my body, and how to recalibrate when I’ve absorbed too much has helped me stay grounded and aligned.
Advice: Build a daily practice to check in with yourself. Whether it’s breathwork, movement, journaling, or energy clearing, find your rhythm. Learn your patterns. Be honest with yourself. The more you understand your energy, the more clearly you can read and support others.
Ultimately, this journey is about becoming the clearest channel you can be. And that begins with self-trust, presence, and reverence for the energy moving through you.
Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
My ideal client is someone who is open-hearted, spiritually curious, and ready to explore the deeper layers of their healing—not just for symptom relief, but for soul remembrance. They’re not necessarily experts in energy work (though some are), but they’re deeply drawn to inner transformation. They’ve either reached a point where the old ways of “pushing through” no longer serve them, or they’re awakening to a sense that something bigger—something more aligned—is calling them forward.
They’re the kind of person who feels the world deeply, sometimes to the point of overwhelm. They may have been told they’re “too sensitive” or “too much,” but what they really are is energetically aware—and just need the right space to harness it. Whether they’re dealing with emotional blocks, burnout, identity shifts, or seeking spiritual clarity, they come with a willingness to show up for themselves.
What makes someone ideal for this work isn’t how “healed” they are—it’s how honest and open they’re willing to be. They’re ready to partner in their process. They don’t expect me to “fix” them—they’re here for insight, support, energetic reflection, and spiritual truth.
Above all, my ideal client is someone who’s ready to reclaim their power, reconnect to their own intuitive wisdom, and create a life that feels aligned from the inside out.
