Meet Dante Lee

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Dante Lee. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Dante below.

Dante, thank you so much for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re really interested in hearing about from you – being the only one in the room. So many of us find ourselves as the only woman in the room, the only immigrant or the only artist in the room, etc. Can you talk to us about how you have learned to be effective and successful in situations where you are the only one in the room like you?

I believe it’s deeply rooted in my upbringing. My parents instilled in my brothers and me a strong sense of goal-oriented drive and unwavering motivation. As a black man, I take immense pride in being a beacon of diversity in most spaces and earning acceptance through my authenticity. I’m unapologetically genuine, wearing my heart on my sleeve, and fearless in expressing my emotions. I was raised to treat everyone with equal respect, from the janitor to the CEO, and never forget that we’re all on the same journey.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

Every day, I have the privilege of making a profound impact on children’s lives, serving as a role model and empowering them to reach their full potential. Through my work at House of Hope and coaching basketball, I’ve witnessed the transformative power of growth and development, and I’m committed to fostering positive change in the lives of those around me.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

The key to success for me was perseverance. Although you’ll inevitably face challenges, especially in the beginning, it’s crucial to maintain momentum. Trust in your abilities and embrace a growth mindset, even if it means pushing beyond conventional boundaries. Consistency is vital, particularly when motivation wavers – it’s the cornerstone of achieving remarkable feats.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

I am eager to establish a team with like-minded individuals. Having operated Triumph Victory Limitsnone independently for 9 years, I have encountered numerous challenges and genuinely believe that a collaborative approach is essential for success. It is evident that no endeavor can be sustained by a single person. My objective is to surround myself with creative, like-minded artists who share my passion for success.
