Meet Hannah Logan

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Hannah Logan. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Hannah below.

Hannah, we are so happy that our community is going to have a chance to learn more about you, your story and hopefully even take in some of the lessons you’ve learned along the way. Let’s start with self-care – what do you do for self-care and has it had any impact on your effectiveness?

For me, self-care often means spending time in nature, especially by the beach. Whether I’m listening to the waves, reading a book, or walking along the shoreline, it’s easy to unplug and let the noise of everyday life fade away. There’s something grounding about feeling the wind, tuning in to the sounds around me, and simply being present. These quiet moments have taught me to slow down and appreciate the little things. That shift in perspective has deeply impacted my creativity, helping me think more clearly and connect more intentionally with my work.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

Cloudy Days Photography began with a simple goal: to capture honest, heartfelt moments that feel as real as the people in them. I specialize in natural, documentary-style photography that focuses on storytelling—whether it’s a quiet elopement, a family session on the beach, or a candid portrait of someone simply being themselves.
What makes this work special to me is the way it connects people to their own stories. I’m drawn to emotion, movement, and the little in-between moments that often go unnoticed. It’s not about staged perfection, it’s about preserving memories you can actually feel.
There are a lot of new and exciting things on the horizon for Cloudy Days Photography, including a new website launching this year and more creative developments rolling out over the next two years. In 2026, I’ll be moving away from traditional wedding photography and focusing more on elopements—capturing smaller, more intimate celebrations that align deeply with my storytelling approach.
Cloudy Days is rooted in presence, storytelling, and the belief that beauty lives in the ordinary—and I’m excited to keep evolving with that at the heart of everything I do.
Looking ahead, I’ll be leaning even more into passion-driven projects: travel-based sessions, creative portrait work, and print collections that reflect the quieter, more meaningful moments in life. Whether it’s documenting an elopement in the mountains or creating artful keepsakes from everyday scenes, my mission is to preserve what matters most—authentically, honestly, and with heart.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, three things that had the biggest impact on my journey were mentorship, editing education, and real-world experience through free sessions. Having a mentor—or mentors—whether in-person or online, helped me grow not just technically, but also in how I approach storytelling and client experience. I was fortunate to be mentored by my now friend Yulianna Fiumara, who encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and embrace growth.
Watching editing tutorials and taking classes helped refine my style and gave me the confidence to develop my own creative voice. And honestly, nothing compares to hands-on practice. Offering free sessions early on gave me the space to experiment, make mistakes, and grow without pressure.
For anyone just starting out, don’t underestimate the value of learning from others, practicing often, and being patient with your progress. Show up, stay curious, and treat every shoot—paid or not—as a chance to get better. I still learn something new every session, and I plan to keep learning for the rest of my career.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?

My then mentor—now friend—Yulianna Fiumara is the reason my photography career has taken off in ways I could have never imagined. From the moment we met, she took me under her wing, never judged my endless questions, and never once doubted my potential. She’s pushed me since day one to explore my creativity and step outside of my comfort zone.

Yulianna didn’t just teach me technique—she helped me see photography through a deeper, more intentional lens. Because of her, I’ve grown not only as a photographer, but as a woman. I truly owe so much of who I am as a business owner and artist to her support, trust, and belief in me.

I also want to thank Sarah Robertson for her early guidance and encouragement at the beginning of my photography journey. She believed in my ability, and let me tag along to many of her sessions to learn skills from her. Having people like Yulianna and Sarah believe in me made all the difference.
