Meet Brandon Michael

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Brandon Michael a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Brandon, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

I’ve always kind of had the approach that if it’s possible I can get it done or learn how to do it and that has always given me a deep comfort and confidence in anything I’m trying to do.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I’m a standup Comedian I’ve been doing standup for about 2 years now and so far its been really great I’ve met lots of great people and made alot of great friends and I’m at the exciting point where I’m trying to figure out the next steps as I continue hopefully a long career.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

I think the three qualities that have really helped me so far is I always try to stay positive focused and confident. I feel like if your positive focused and confident you can overcome most challenges in anything you do or want to do

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?

People who I look up to as comics have helped me the most so far I’ve been able to kind of study those guys and try to kind of follow the trial they’ve set. Some of the big ones for me are Sam Kinnison, Bill Burr and Shane Gillis.
