Meet Tyress Cunningham

We recently connected with Tyress Cunningham and have shared our conversation below.

Tyress, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

Through many mistakes, fear, and life and death obstacles. I kneeled down to one knee and felt the captial T in Truth when it came to the meaning defeat. I began to understand decisions made from deceptions and the small feelings in me by humiliation from rejection. I ran from me right into the cold embrace of chaos. I ran wild and was tamed in a cage were I released rage, street lessons and thoughts on to a page from a prison safe ink pen wrapped in tissue and bond by a sticky deodorant label and I found my purpose in the art of story telling Business planning. I wrote stories Incarcerated and had them published by ATHRAE Publishing LLC
The foundation and blueprint for my car wash called Mirror Affect was created in my darkest times where in time I was allowed to find my purpose.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I will be giving back to my community
With a motivational event called Reflection of change that I’m very excited about it will our second year giving this event. It’s a great opportunity to show people our genuine love and compassion for our people and youth.
I also have an new audio book being released soon titled Conflict of Intere$t
On Amazon. I currently have No Hope by Tyress Cunningham on audio book and paper back on Amazon as well
My car wash MIRROR AFFECT is doing well and I’m very proud of that because we started from the driveway and now we have coming of the highway just to get a Mirror Affect car wash. It’s an amazing feeling.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Learning from hardship, being able to develop ownership over my actions and will to work harder than anyone around me. My advice is always give yourself a chance and when facing obstacles work through them and learn from them

Alright, so before we go we want to ask you to take a moment to reflect and share what you think you would do if you somehow knew you only had a decade of life left?

If I have only one decade to live. I would focus on creating a path of possibilities and positivity and teach young men that streets and prison is not our first option but the last if ever needed to be
