Meet Kimberly Caceres

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kimberly Caceres. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Kimberly , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

I was raised by a tribe of women. Women who’ve weathered storms most can’t even name and yet still stood tall and unshaken. They never complained about the things they lacked but filled their hearts of gratitude for all the blessings that surrounded them. Women who found their voices in a world
that tried everything to keep them silent. Who crossed oceans to foreign lands with unfamiliar customs and language and yet built doors for the next generation to walk through.

My resilience is inherited. It’s woven from the threads of sacrifice, stitched with courage and wrapped in the magic of love. And it’s not just in me – it is me. They are the reason I trust my spirit. The reason I keep putting one foot in front of the other even when I can’t see through the fog. The reason I follow my heart. The reason I dream loudly. And the reason I never give up.
Quitting was never their language and it won’t be mine either.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m an experiential multidisciplinary artist, poet, and creative entrepreneur working at the intersection of healing, storytelling, and empowerment. My work spans across visual art, poetry, real estate education, and entertainment – each branch rooted in a deep desire to help people reconnect and empower themselves. Whether I’m creating affirmations, building tools for first-time home buyers/sellers, or managing a women-led comedy tour, I approach everything with intention and heart.

This season of my life is about reclaiming the parts of me I once hid and allowing them to lead. After completing a 1000-day kriya (meditation), I committed to showing up more fully in my creativity and spiritual well-being. Now, I’m writing my first poetry book, designing an affirmation card deck, and building systems that allow me and others to live more authentically and freely.

At the core of it all, I’m a storyteller creating spaces for people to feel, to laugh, to heal, and to empower themselves. I’m still figuring out a lot of things and learning how to come out of my shell, but I believe there’s beauty in the becoming. And this is me – in the becoming – choosing to show up anyway.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are:
Trusting my inner voice, staying curious, and learning how to hold duality (grief and joy, fear and faith) at the same time.

Trusting my inner voice has been the foundation. There were so many moments when I felt unsure, unseen, full of shame or like I didn’t “fit” the traditional mold. But every time I paused long enough to listen inward, whether through meditation, journaling, or just silence, I found clarity. Or at least a next step I was going to take. For anyone early in their journey: make space to hear yourself. The world will offer a lot of noise, but your truth already exists in you.

Staying curious helped me break out of boxes I didn’t even realize I was in. I allowed myself to explore, try new things, pivot, fail, and begin again. You don’t have to have it all figured out but stay open. Experiment. Let what lights you up lead you, even if it doesn’t make perfect sense at first because it won’t. And if you don’t know what lights you up explore until you find it. Honestly, I think you have to dance on the edge of delusion to truly take a chance on yourself.

Embracing duality has been powerful. Life is layered, and I’ve learned that honoring both the pain and the beauty has made me more resilient. If you can sit with your shadows while still allowing your light to shine, you’ll discover your strength. It’s not about being fearless – it’s about feeling the fear and showing up anyway.

So my advice: Protect your inner voice. Stay open to evolving. Embrace the rejections and redirections. And give yourself grace because becoming who you are is the real art.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?

Two books that have deeply shaped my journey are The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron.

The Alchemist reminded me that we all have a Personal Legend: something uniquely ours to fulfill and that the universe will conspire to help us once we decide to trust it. One of the biggest takeaways for me was learning to see detours and delays not as failures, but as essential parts of the journey. It taught me to pay attention to the messages from the universe, to lean into faith, and to keep going even when the path gets foggy.

The Artist’s Way helped me give myself permission to be an artist. Julia Cameron’s work gently peeled back layers of fear, self-doubt, shame and perfectionism I didn’t even know I was carrying. Morning Pages became a safe space for my truth to speak freely and I recognized my own voice. The biggest gift that book gave me was the understanding that creativity is sacred and it deserves consistency, not pressure.

Together, these books helped me reconnect with my purpose, my voice, and my worth as a creative being. They didn’t just inspire me; they gave me tools to keep choosing myself.
