Meet Elle Levy

We were lucky to catch up with Elle Levy recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Elle with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

I’ve been working since the age of 14. After high school I would work at a warehouse where they sold underground pools and Christmas trees and on the weekends I worked at a wedding hall. My mom owned a salon so I basically grew up in her salon and watched her work 24/7 to make the salon successful. I even worked there as I got older doing hair and made pretty good money. So that and just being from New York City where everyone hustles gave me my work ethic.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m originally from Brooklyn, New York. At 26, I packed up and moved to Los Angeles with nothing but a gut feeling that I was meant for more. I didn’t have a plan — just an unshakable belief that taking risks would lead me somewhere extraordinary. I thrive in the unknown. The twists, the turns, the moments that force you to figure it out — that’s where I come alive.

L.A. was a wild ride. I met incredible people, faced some serious lows — including nights sleeping in my car — and questioned everything more times than I can count. I didn’t have a college degree, just a GED and a lot of ambition, but I always knew I was destined for something bigger. I remember asking God where I’d end up, knowing deep down there had to be a reason for my struggle.

After seven years of hustling through odd jobs, I reconnected with an old friend from back home who gave me a shot in his cannabis company — and that moment changed everything. I finally started making real money. I began managing a few Airbnbs and, for the first time in a long time, life started to feel stable.

Then in 2020, just before the pandemic hit, I found out I was pregnant. It flipped my world upside down — again. I had to start over, reinvent myself completely. That’s when I discovered podcasting. I went viral almost instantly, and everything started to align. It’s been a wild ride ever since — and we’re just getting started.

Now, my next chapter takes me to Thailand. I’m heading there to explore the culture, share stories, and show the world how people live outside of the U.S. So stay tuned — the journey is far from over, and the future looks bright.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

My Advice to Anyone Starting Out:

1. Always live below your means.
It’s not just financial advice — it’s survival. Living below your means can protect your mental health and give you the freedom to chase your dreams without constantly feeling like you’re drowning. Peace of mind is priceless when you’re trying to build something from the ground up.

2. Know who you’re dealing with.
Just like you wouldn’t buy a car without checking the Carfax, don’t let people into your life without doing your due diligence. Meet their friends, their family, even their exes if you can. People lie — a lot. And just because you have good intentions doesn’t mean they do. Be extremely selective about who you trust, especially in relationships and business. The wrong person can cost you your future.

3. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
Take risks — but make sure they’re calculated. Do your research, ask questions, and make sure the fallout of a bad decision falls on you, not someone else’s deception. That way, even your failures become valuable lessons. And always — always — get everything in writing. Whether it’s business or personal, clarity on paper saves relationships and protects your peace.

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?

Honestly when I feel overwhelmed I like to travel and get some peace. I know it’s no ideal for everyone but if you can just get away for a weekend, and just sit by a beach somewhere and gather your thoughts it might help you . I went to Bali for a month 2022 and it changed my life . It gave me perspective I would have never been able to get sitting home sulking: life is more then just working a 9-5 or working at all. It’s about inner peace that matters and it doesn’t cost money to attain it but it’s worth more than any money you have in your bank account. And that’s what people should strive for. Inner peace
