Meet Daneira Zuniga Sandoval

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Daneira Zuniga Sandoval. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Daneira below.

Hi Daneira , thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

My work ethic is deeply rooted in the values my parents instilled in me—hard work, resilience, and determination. As a first-generation immigrant, I’m driven by the dream of building a better future not only for myself but to honor the sacrifices my parents made. I come from humble beginnings, and that fuels my ambition to grow, achieve, and prove that their efforts were not in vain. I’m committed to showing that the American dream is possible.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I’m just a girl with a passion for hair color—from lived-in blondes to balayage, highlights, and bold vivids, I truly love it all. What excites me most is the magic of transformation—giving someone a fresh new look and watching their confidence light up is what fuels me. Every client who sits in my chair is loved, valued, and celebrated. I’ve created a space where everyone feels welcome and seen, because inclusion is at the heart of my brand.

I’m so excited to share that I’m now working independently and my salon suite, Crowned Amethyst, is officially up and running! I’m currently accepting new clients in Northglenn and surrounding areas, and I can’t wait to welcome you into my chair.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, three of the most impactful things on my journey have been: the willingness to make mistakes, the commitment to practice, and the importance of investing in continued education. My advice to anyone just starting out is—don’t be afraid to mess up. Mistakes are part of the process and where real growth happens. Keep practicing, even when it’s hard or uncomfortable. And most importantly, invest in yourself. Take the extra classes, seek out mentors, and stay curious. I’ve taken a lot of outside courses to improve my craft, and I still learn something new every single day.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?

The most impactful thing my parents did for me was show me the true meaning of hard work, sacrifice, and compassion. They gave up so much to create a better life for our family. My dad worked long hours from sun up to sun down, and my mom hustled, selling tamales to make sure we always had enough. Through their actions, they taught me to not only work hard, but to be a good, kind person. They showed me what’s possible when people believe in each other and push forward with love and determination. They came to this country with nothing—and still managed to give us everything. They are, and always will be, my greatest inspiration.
