Meet Sernesha Burston

We were lucky to catch up with Sernesha Burston recently and have shared our conversation below.

Sernesha, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

Great Question!

People always say find out who you are but I believe in creating who you are based off GOD’s plan over your life. . Actually analyzing who you are as a person and what value you bring to other’s life/this world. I discovered that my purpose in life definitely had a lot to do with helping people on a deeper level. I am a safe place for so many people including strangers. Rather it’s my angelic powerful singing, my humourous jokes to keep people smiling, or my open heart to listening to people vent while empowering them with positivity. It all leads up to GOD’s destiny over my life in which my purpose is ultimately to help as many people. break through generational curses, bad habits, negative mindsets, and to remain hopeful. I am just a bright light shining on the dark parts of the earth.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I am an overall creative creator and. I am stoked to announce I am officially a “AUTHOR”! I took my powerful positive words and created a masterpiece. I am most excited to change so many lives with my books. Change starts with you …. Change your mindset and your environment if needed. The only limitations you have over your life is the ones you create. NEVER GIVE UP ON YOU BECAUSE NO MATTER WHAT LIFE GETS BETTER. My book is releasing in July 2025 and I am calling all. the GENERATIONAL CURSE BREAKERS and if you didn’t know…. it’s YOU ( yes you ! the one that is reading this now) You weren’t brought here by luck but by FATE! Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

I would say my top three qualities would be Integrity, Authenticity, and being a Leader were the most impactful in my journey. Honesty is in a conjunction with authenticity and Integrity; As they play hand and hand. Stay true to who you are and never let anyone change you. The world has enough duplicates what makes you special are the things that make you different. Integrity is extremely important as if you have no morals/principals you’d fall for anything. If you want to be successful be a leader and not follow crowds. I always stand out because I don’t wanna be like everyone else.

My best advice for anyone starting the journey in anything is to be who you are ,keep a positive mindset, remove any/everything that means you no well, have a open mind , be a active listener, do your own research, be kind to yourself, advocate for yourself, and keep GOD in all that you do over all else.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?

Sernesha Burston’s book “YOU ARE THE GENERATIONAL CURSE BREAKER!” And I’m not just saying this because it’s my book… That’s not the case at all.. Sernesha’s book has taught me how to reclaim my life after trauma and that I am the generational curse breaker. Stay tuned for my releasing of my book because you will be impacted in a big major way. Your life will change for the better and trauma will never take over your life again.
