Meet Alisha Currie Ph.D

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Alisha Currie Ph.D a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alisha, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

I did not feel confident because of my past. I developed my confidence and self esteem by seeking the Lord. I also had a lot of Aaron and Hur’s, that the Lord God, sent my way, to lift my arms up. Not having a community, is very detrimental to your walk.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I am First Lady/Co Pastor of Currie The Cross Church, along side of my amazing husband, Dr Marlowe Currie. I also operate out of the office of a Prophet.

I am a 2x author. “Prisoner Of The Mess” and Amazon Best Seller, “OCCUPY”.

My husband and I, have been blessed with three different businesses. The Armor Of God University/LeeOla’s Clothing/Currie Care Counseling

I am a mother, and I love all of my children dearly.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

The number one quality is keeping the Lord first in all things.

Next keep your ears to the Lord. He is the one who holds the key to your next.

Lastly, hear his word and follow the Lord’s instructions. Be a hearer and doer of his word.

Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?

My biggest area of growth. Don’t worry about what others think of you. People will talk about you if you have a big house, little house, car, or no car. Continue to keep your head up, and your eyes on what is right and honorable to the Lord.
