Meet Shahin Studios

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Shahin Studios. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Shahin below.

Hi Shahin, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

Our work ethic comes from how we grew up as two brothers in Alexandria, Egypt, trying to make art with no real resources, no guidance, and no clear path. There wasn’t much support for creative careers where we were from, so we had to figure everything out on our own. I was learning silkscreen printing by building tools with my hands, while Marwan was teaching himself design and beginning to gain international recognition for his work with global musicians. We were both navigating the same struggle, trying to create something meaningful with almost nothing.

That shared experience shaped the way we work. It taught us discipline, patience, and how to rely on our own vision even when no one else could see it yet. Shahin Studios came together a little later, as a way to bring our creative strengths under one roof and produce art at a higher level, from concept to execution. We put that energy into every part of the studio, and we’ve carried it with us from Egypt to Los Angeles. That mindset still drives us today, whether we’re working on an art piece, murals or an installation. The work never scared us, it’s where we started.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

At Shahin Studios, we are a Los Angeles-based creative studio founded by two brothers from Alexandria, Egypt. We specialize in design, art production, and immersive spatial experiences, ranging from branding and silkscreen printing to murals and custom installations. What makes our work special is the way we blend craftsmanship with creativity, handling projects from concept all the way through execution, always aiming for originality and precision.

What excites us most is the opportunity to bring art into everyday spaces and experiences. Whether we’re designing a large-scale mural, producing limited edition fine art prints or crafting custom merchandise for clients, every project reflects our commitment to quality and storytelling. Recently, we’ve been diving deeper into ceramics and spatial art, currently working on a large silkscreened tile installation that represents a new direction for the studio.

We’re also actively collaborating with other artists and launching our own merch drops, which allow us to express our vision while connecting directly with our community. Our journey from Egypt to LA has shaped everything we do, grounding us in resilience, innovation, and a passion for pushing creative boundaries.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

At Shahin Studios, we specialize in art, design, and print. Looking back, the three most impactful forces that shaped our journey have been craftsmanship, creative adaptability and visual storytelling.

First, craftsmanship has always been at the core of what we do. Whether it’s a silkscreen print or a large-scale installation, we’ve always prioritized doing things the right way. Starting with limited resources taught us how to work with intention and precision, no matter the scale, the complexity or the tight timeline.

Second, adaptability has been essential. Moving from Egypt to Los Angeles, we’ve constantly shifted gears, from murals to merchandise to spatial design. We didn’t begin with a clear roadmap; we built our skills along the way. For anyone early in their journey: stay open, keep experimenting, and don’t limit yourself to one box.

Lastly, visual storytelling continues to shape how we approach both client work and personal art. Whether it’s branding or fine art, we believe design should say something. Learning to communicate ideas through color, composition, and form has helped us create work that connects across different cultures and audiences.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

At Shahin Studios, we are always open to partnering with creative individuals and businesses who share our passion for art, design, and innovation. We specialize in taking projects from concept to execution, whether that’s large-scale murals, merchandise collections, or spatial design and installations. We value collaborators who bring fresh ideas and dedication to craftsmanship.

We’ve had the privilege to work with a range of clients and trusted partners, including Breed Abu Dhabi, Zouk Nightclub LA, Quantum Spa alongside L’esperance Design and others. We’re interested in connecting with artists, designers, brands and organizations who want to push creative boundaries and deliver unique experiences.

If you’re interested in collaborating with us, the best way to get in touch is through our website or via social media. We’re excited to hear your ideas and explore how we can bring them to life together.
