Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Rosie Fabre. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Rosie , thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
I get my work ethic from my mother. She was a single mom who worked hard to make sure we never went without. Growing up, I watched her wake up early every day, handle everything on her own, and push through even when things were tough. Her discipline, drive, and dedication left a deep impression on me. Watching her gave me a clear example of what it means to work hard, stay focused, and never give up—no matter the circumstances. That’s something I carry with me in everything I do.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’ve been a licensed aesthetician for over 10 years, but I found myself especially drawn to waxing early in my career. Right out of school, I was hired as a Wax Specialist by a major company, where I stayed for about seven years. During that time, I built a strong clientele and earned the trust of so many amazing women & men.
Eventually, I felt it was time to take a leap and create something of my own. That’s how RFWAX in Paramus, New Jersey was born. I wanted to build a space that felt personal—not like a revolving door. It’s peaceful, calming, and welcoming, and every detail is designed with the client’s comfort in mind.
I specialize exclusively in waxing, offering full-body services using a coconut-based hard wax that’s gentle, soothing, and makes the experience much more comfortable.
What I love most is helping women feel beautiful and confident. I genuinely care about my clients, and I think that’s why I’ve been able to grow and succeed—because I’ve built real relationships. My clients are the reason I’m here today.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Three qualities that have really shaped my career are dedication, work ethic, and authenticity.
From the very beginning, I made the decision to be the best wax specialist I could be. That mindset guided everything I did—from the way I trained to how I treated every single client.
I also inherited a strong work ethic from my mother, who worked tirelessly as a single mom. I applied that same drive to my own career. I always made myself available to my clients, understanding how valuable their time was and how much trust they placed in me. I never saw this as just a job—it’s a career I’ve been building with intention and pride.
And lastly, I’ve learned how important it is to stay true to who you are. When you’re authentic, you naturally attract the right clients. In this industry, relationships matter and when you genuinely care, people feel that. That’s been key to my growth and success.
Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?
When I’m feeling overwhelmed, my first instinct isn’t to distract myself or stay busy it’s actually the opposite. I think the most important thing you can do is sit with yourself and your thoughts. I take a moment to really ask myself: Why do I feel this way? What’s causing this overwhelm?
For me, it’s not about escaping. It’s about getting quiet, being honest with myself, and giving myself the space to process what I’m feeling. Sometimes that means staying home, doing nothing, and just letting myself feel it. That’s how I find clarity and get back to a more grounded place.
