We were lucky to catch up with Micah Futch recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Micah, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
I’ve always wanted more—more impact, more growth, more meaning. But chasing success means running through walls while everyone else watches from the sidelines. So what keeps me going when the grind gets brutal? It’s the anger I feel when I’m underestimated and the excitement I get picturing the win. My resilience is built from ambition that refuses to die quietly.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m a marketing strategist first — that’s my craft, my obsession, and my way of making real impact. I help founders, creatives, and bold thinkers bring their vision to life with clarity and firepower. Not just aesthetic branding, but strategy that actually moves people and drives growth.
Entrepreneurship is the fuel behind it all. I build, I experiment, I test what I preach. That’s what keeps me sharp. First, I created a new energy shot brand called Thrill Energy; targeting athletes who strive to be the best. However, lately, I’ve been developing a new offer to help founders and marketers with a full-funnel strategy.
If you’re building something with heart and ambition, I want to be part of making it unforgettable.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The three most impactful qualities in my journey have been persuasion, emotional intelligence, and consistency. Applying this to my professional life changed everything.
First, persuasion opened doors. Being able to communicate ideas clearly and make people feel something is how I’ve moved projects forward. For anyone starting out, study copywriting, storytelling, and psychology like your success depends on it—because it does.
Then came emotional intelligence, which helped me build trust. Understanding people, reading the room, knowing when to push and when to pause is what separates a strategist from someone just going through the motions. To build this, you have to get curious about people. Listen twice as much as you speak. Reflect on how you show up. This one skill will make every collaboration, pitch, and partnership stronger.
Finally, consistency created momentum. I didn’t get here by waiting for inspiration. I showed up when it was tough, when no one was watching, when it felt slow. The secret isn’t to go fast. It’s to not stop. For beginners, consistency is your cheat code. It compounds, and one day, it turns into confidence.
