Meet Danielle Hani

We were lucky to catch up with Danielle Hani recently and have shared our conversation below.

Danielle , thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?

I think my optimism comes from a strong sense that I’m exactly where I’m meant to be right now. Moving to LA was a big step toward pursuing my dream of becoming a film composer, and I genuinely feel that the decisions I’ve made so far have been right for both my personal growth and my career. I try to follow my intuition and trust my gut, and that approach keeps me feeling positive and excited about what lies ahead

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I moved to the U.S. about four years ago to study film scoring at Berklee College of Music. After graduating, I relocated to LA, where I currently live and work, because I truly believe it’s the best place for me professionally. Right now, I’m focused on creating music for media, theater, and music libraries, and I’m also spending a lot of time connecting with other creative professionals who share similar artistic values. There’s such a vibrant and inspiring creative community here, and it’s exciting to be in a city where so many people are involved in the entertainment industry. I’m really hoping to connect with filmmakers and storytellers whose work resonates with me, and I’d love to collaborate with them to help bring their stories to life through music

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

I believe the three most important things are consistency, hard work, and a commitment to always keep learning. If you have a dream and can truly see yourself doing it, keep pushing toward it—this profession is a marathon, and steady, consistent steps will eventually get you there. It’s also crucial to give your best effort and work as hard as you can toward your goals. There are so many passionate and talented people out there, but I always try to be the one who works the hardest in the room.
I also believe that knowledge is power. Stay curious, keep learning—whether it’s directly related to your field or not. If something sparks your interest, dive into it, even if it’s just a Google search to start. You never know how that knowledge might benefit you down the line or what unexpected opportunities it might open up

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

I’m definitely looking to connect with filmmakers and storytellers working across all kinds of media—whether it’s film, theater, dance, or other art forms. I’m drawn to projects that are emotionally impactful and tell stories that stay with you long after you’ve experienced them. My hope is to collaborate with artists who create that kind of meaningful work and support their storytelling through my music.
If anyone reading this feels a connection to what I do, they’re always welcome to reach out to me through my website or professional Instagram page—I’d love to connect.
