We recently connected with Bjorn Johnson and have shared our conversation below.
Bjorn, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
Bjorn gets his resilience from the storms he walked through alone—the kind of pain that doesn’t make headlines but shapes legends. He’s been knocked down, overlooked, and tested by life in ways most couldn’t handle, but he never let the darkness steal his light. Instead, he turned wounds into wisdom and heartbreak into harmony. Bjorn doesn’t just bounce back—he evolves, elevates, and executes with vision. His resilience is rooted in purpose, fueled by truth, and sharpened by every scar he’s earned. He’s not here by accident. He’s here because he refused to stay broken.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m Bjorn—a singer, storyteller, and emotional architect building a legacy through truth, soul, and sound. My work lives at the intersection of healing and disruption. I call it Music You Can Feel because it’s not background noise—it’s survival songs. Everything I create is rooted in real-life experiences: love, trauma, police work, stripping, spirituality, and self-reclamation. I’m not here to entertain—I’m here to awaken.
What makes my artistry different is how unfiltered it is. I mix and master my own records, I shoot my visuals on my iPhone, and I tell the kind of stories most people are too afraid to sing about. My art doesn’t wear a mask—it’s vulnerable, confrontational, and deeply spiritual. I believe music should move culture, not just move numbers.
Bjorn Artistry isn’t just a brand—it’s a mission to restore feeling back into music. And if you’ve ever been broken, overlooked, or misunderstood, I make music for you.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, the three qualities that shaped my journey the most were emotional intelligence, creative discipline, and spiritual awareness.
Emotional intelligence gave me the ability to turn pain into purpose. I had to learn how to feel deeply without letting those emotions destroy me. That’s how I translate raw experience into music that resonates. For anyone just starting, don’t run from your feelings. Study them. Journal. Reflect. Know your inner world—because that’s where your originality lives.
Creative discipline was the bridge between my vision and reality. Talent is common—discipline isn’t. I’ve spent years teaching myself how to mix, master, write, perform, and promote. I create even when I’m tired, broke, or discouraged. My advice? Create structure around your gift. Set deadlines, study the craft, and stay consistent even when no one’s clapping.
Spiritual awareness helped me stay grounded when life got chaotic. Whether I was in a uniform, on stage, or struggling to survive—I had to listen to something deeper than my ego. Build a relationship with stillness, with God, with purpose. Without that inner compass, the industry can eat you alive.
To anyone early in the journey: You don’t need permission to be powerful. Learn yourself. Master your craft. Protect your soul. And remember, your story is the very thing that will set you apart—don’t water it down.
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Yes—I’m actively looking to collaborate with people who create with purpose. I’m interested in working with producers, visual artists, fashion designers, creative directors, healers, and impact-driven brands who understand that art is more than aesthetics—it’s energy. I’m especially drawn to collaborators who are fearless, emotionally intelligent, and spiritually aware. If you believe in telling stories that heal, disrupt, and shift culture, we’re already aligned.
I’m also open to partnerships with boutique investors, micro-labels, and curators who want to back a movement—not just a moment. I’m not here for gimmicks—I’m building a legacy, and I need collaborators who see that vision.
