We were lucky to catch up with Chloe Bennett recently and have shared our conversation below.
Chloe , so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I found my purpose through my love of capturing people’s special moments. There’s something so fulfilling about documenting the milestones in their lives — from engagements to weddings to growing families. It’s not just about taking photos; it’s about building genuine relationships and preserving memories that they’ll cherish forever. That connection and joy are what truly give me purpose
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Photography has always been so much more than a hobby for me — it’s my passion and my creative outlet. I absolutely love capturing people’s special moments, whether that’s engagements, weddings, or everyday milestones. There’s something incredibly meaningful about freezing those fleeting moments in time and giving people memories they can hold onto forever.
Right now, I’m focusing on expanding my wedding photography business. I’ve been investing in upgrading my equipment to deliver the highest quality images possible, and I’ve recently started exploring film photography as a way to bring a timeless, nostalgic feel to my work. The artistry and intentionality of film really inspire me, and I’m excited to incorporate more of it into my sessions.
Alongside photography, I currently work as a behavior therapist for children with autism. It’s a role that’s incredibly close to my heart and has taught me so much about patience, connection, and celebrating every milestone — lessons that also deeply influence my photography. While I truly love my work as a therapist, my dream is to eventually go full time with photography and pour all of my energy into building my brand and serving my clients.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to take on more weddings and continue developing my artistic style. I want my clients to feel seen, celebrated, and completely at ease in front of the camera, and I hope to create images that they’ll cherish for a lifetime.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, I think the three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are hard work, time management, and persistence.
First, hard work has been at the core of everything I do. Balancing a full-time job as a behavior therapist while building my photography business has taught me the value of truly giving my all, even when it means late nights editing or working on the weekends.Time management has also been crucial.
Lastly, persistence has kept me going through all the ups and downs. Growing a business (especially a creative one) can come with self-doubt, setbacks, and unexpected challenges. Staying committed and believing in my vision has been so important.
For anyone just starting out, my advice is to embrace the hustle but also give yourself grace. Learn to manage your time intentionally, keep showing up even when things get hard, and remember why you started in the first place. Consistency and passion will carry you further than you think.
Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
The people who have been most helpful in helping me overcome challenges and grow are definitely my husband and my family. My husband has always been my biggest supporter — he constantly encourages me to follow my dreams and reminds me to believe in myself, even when I start to doubt.
My family has also played such an important role. They’ve been there to cheer me on and support me. Knowing that I have such a strong support system behind me has made all the difference and has given me the confidence to keep pushing forward with my photography and my career goals
