Meet Liz Giraldo

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Liz Giraldo. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Liz, thank you so much for opening up with us about some important, but sometimes personal topics. One that really matters to us is overcoming Imposter Syndrome because we’ve seen how so many people are held back in life because of this and so we’d really appreciate hearing about how you overcame Imposter Syndrome.

Honestly, imposter syndrome is something that comes and goes. There are days when I feel confident and accomplished, and others when I see someone else’s beautiful work and start to second-guess my own. In those moments, I remind myself that there’s space for all of us to shine. I focus on staying grounded, being true to who I am, and showing up as authentically as possible.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

My name is Liz, and I’m the founder of Liz Your Content Amiga. I’m a behind-the-scenes content creator focused on weddings and special events. I capture all the raw, real, in-between moments that couples and clients don’t always get to see the day of and I deliver it all within 24–48 hours. It’s been the most rewarding experience to help people relive one of the most important days of their lives so quickly, without the pressure of waiting weeks or months for footage. I want my clients to be fully present on their big day, knowing I’ve got them covered on the content side.

My journey into this space actually started after planning my own wedding. I realized how important it is to have someone capture the little moments, the energy, the excitement, the nerves, the joy. I saw a gap in the industry and felt called to fill it in a way that felt personal and genuine. I bring that same energy to every event I’m part of.

What I love most about what I do is that every event is different, and no two stories are the same. I get to document love, celebration, and connection in a way that feels organic and real. I think that’s what makes this so special, there’s no filter, no script, just real people living in the moment.

Alongside content creation, I’ve recently started offering social media management services to help businesses and event professionals elevate their online presence. After spending so much time behind the camera, I realized how many vendors and creatives needed support not just with content, but with actually showing up online in a consistent and engaging way. Whether it’s planning content calendars or curating posts that match their brand, I love helping others grow through intentional and organic strategies.

Right now, I’m focused on growing both sides of my business, capturing events and supporting others behind the scenes with their digital presence. I’ve also launched custom packages for brides at select venues and am actively collaborating with creatives throughout South Florida. There’s so much more ahead, but at the heart of it all, my goal is simple: to be that trusted amiga who helps bring your story to life, on camera and online.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, I’d say the three most impactful qualities on my journey so far have been confidence, resourcefulness, and relationship building.

Confidence is everything, especially in the beginning. There will be moments when you don’t have all the answers or you’re still figuring things out, but you have to trust yourself and show up anyway. You grow by doing. My advice is to just start. Take the leap and believe that you’re capable of figuring things out as you go.

Being resourceful has helped me a lot too. I didn’t have a playbook when I got into content creation. I learned by watching others, asking questions, testing things, and being open to trial and error. You don’t need the perfect setup or all the tools to begin. Use what you have, stay curious, and keep learning.

And relationship building has truly been a game changer. I’ve been able to grow because of the people around me. Clients, vendors, other creatives, those genuine connections matter. Treat people well, support others, and always lead with kindness. It goes a long way and creates opportunities you didn’t even expect.

For anyone just starting, keep showing up, keep learning, and stay connected to your “why.” That’s what will carry you through.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?

Over the past 12 months, my biggest area of growth has been stepping into my value and owning my role as a business owner. When I first started, I saw myself more as someone helping out behind the scenes. But as I began booking clients, getting real results, and building relationships in the industry, I realized this is so much more than just showing up with a phone. I’m running a business that brings real value to people’s lives.

I’ve also grown a lot in setting boundaries, creating structure, and trusting my process. From contracts to turnaround times to confidently talking about my services, I’ve learned to treat every part of my business with intention. That shift has helped me show up with more clarity and confidence, not just for myself but for my clients too.

This past year has really been about leveling up- from passion to profession. And I’m proud of how far I’ve come.
