Meet Cesar Ziegler

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Cesar Ziegler. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Cesar below.

Hi Cesar , really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

From the day I was born, I knew music and the arts were my calling. It wasn’t something I discovered—it was always part of me. I’ve spent my life chasing artistic expression, whether through creating music, capturing moments with my camera, or bringing energy to events as a DJ. Every step I take is about living that truth and sharing it with the world.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I’m Cesar Ziegler, the founder and creative force behind CexarMedia LLC, a Boston-based audiovisual production company. I specialize in photography, videography, music production, and commercials, bringing stories to life through vibrant visuals and sound. My work spans everything from music videos and model photoshoots to product photography for online sales, restaurant food and drink shots, and event coverage—both indoor and outdoor. I also produce podcasts, helping clients amplify their voices in engaging ways.
What excites me most is creating music videos. There’s something magical about blending visuals with sound to capture an artist’s vision. I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with students and faculty at Berklee College of Music, which has been a highlight of my career. Working with talented musicians pushes me to innovate and deliver something truly special. I also love the variety in my work—one day I’m shooting a commercial for a brand like Philips, the next I’m capturing the energy of a nighttime event or producing a podcast for a new voice.
CexarMedia LLC has worked with notable clients like Harvard, SNL, and Berklee College of Music, and I’ve had the honor of filming and photographing personalities like Alex Cora and Conan O’Brien. These experiences fuel my drive to create high-quality, impactful content. My brand is all about versatility, creativity, and making every project—whether it’s a corporate commercial or a personal photoshoot—feel unique and authentic.
Right now, I’m excited about expanding our services, particularly in music video production and podcast creation, as we see growing demand in these areas. We’re also gearing up for a busy event season, covering everything from weddings to corporate functions across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, and Connecticut. If you’re looking to elevate your brand or capture a moment, reach out at info@cexarmedia.com or visit www.cexarmedia.com. I’d love to bring your vision to life!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back on my journey as the founder of CexarMedia LLC, three qualities, skills, and areas of knowledge stand out as the most impactful: persistence, creativity, and technical expertise with professional equipment.
1. Persistence: From the start, I knew my passion was music, photography, and videography, but building a career in the arts takes time. I kept pushing forward, even while working other jobs to pay the bills. A little progress every day—whether editing a video, learning a new skill, or networking—added up. My advice for those early in their journey is to keep going, no matter how small the steps seem. If you’re balancing a day job, don’t stress. Stay consistent, and your passion will eventually become your primary income, allowing you to focus 100% on what you love.
2. Creativity: Creativity is the heart of my work, whether I’m producing music videos, shooting for brands like Philips, or capturing events for Harvard. Letting my imagination run free helps me create unique content that stands out. Following trends or copying others leads to generic work, so I always strive to innovate. For beginners, my advice is to experiment fearlessly. Try new angles, mix mediums, or break rules to find your voice. Platforms like YouTube are full of free tutorials to spark ideas—watch them, practice, and trust your instincts.
3. Technical Expertise with Equipment: High-quality equipment, like cameras, lighting, and editing software, has been a game-changer. Good tools save time, streamline workflows, and elevate the final product, whether I’m photographing for Berklee College of Music or filming personalities like Alex Cora. To develop this, start small but invest in reliable gear as you grow. Learn your equipment inside out through free online resources—there are thousands of videos explaining everything from camera settings to audio mixing. Study from home, practice daily, and upgrade your tools when you can.
My biggest advice for anyone starting out is to embrace learning. Knowledge is more accessible than ever, with free online videos covering every aspect of your craft. Dedicate time to study, stay persistent, and let your creativity shine. That’s how you turn a passion into a thriving career.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?

My ideal client is someone who trusts in my talent and vision at CexarMedia LLC. They value the creativity and expertise I bring to photography, videography, music production, and podcasting, whether it’s for a music video, a brand commercial, or an event like a wedding. Equally important is good communication—they know what they want and can clearly share their goals, which allows me to deliver results that exceed their expectations. For example, a client who says, “I want a vibrant music video that captures my song’s energy,” and trusts me to execute it, is perfect. These qualities foster a collaborative partnership, ensuring projects are seamless and impactful.
