Meet Mesita Partridge

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Mesita Partridge a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Mesita, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

I believe purpose is revealed through the willingness to keep showing up — even when you’re scared, unsure, or evolving. I found my purpose by leaning into what came naturally to me: creating beauty, making people feel celebrated, and building experiences that linger in hearts long after the party ends. But my deeper purpose showed up when I realized I wasn’t just planning events — I was guiding other women, especially Black women in the wedding industry, to see their worth, raise their prices, and step boldly into rooms where we were never expected to lead. That’s when it clicked: I was meant to create beauty and build legacy.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I’m the founder of Events by Mesita, an Atlanta-based luxury event planning and floral design studio that turns milestones into unforgettable moments. I also lead The Party Vault, our rental brand that makes it easy to party in style, and Black Women in Weddings, a platform focused on connection, education, and access for Black women navigating the wedding industry.

What excites me most is the magic that happens when people feel seen. Whether I’m designing a wedding, teaching a class, or hosting a Brown Table Talk dinner, I bring intention to everything I do — and I make sure it’s cute while I’m doing it.

My brand is equal parts strategy and soul. We don’t just plan events — we create legacy, build community, and remind people that luxury isn’t just about looks — it’s about how you feel.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

1.Resilience – There were so many moments I could’ve quit. And truthfully, no one would’ve blamed me. But I kept going, because I knew I was building something bigger than a business.

2.Creative Confidence – I used to downplay my ideas or hold back from sharing my vision. But when I started trusting my eye, my aesthetic, and my ability to deliver — that’s when my brand started to grow.

3.Relationship Building – Your network will open doors talent alone can’t. I’m always investing in my community and being intentional about who I serve and how I show up.

Advice: If you’re just starting out, don’t try to skip the hard parts. Use them. Learn from them. And know that your unique story is your superpower. Stay in rooms that challenge you and don’t shrink when the spotlight hits.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

Yes! I love collaborating with brands, influencers, venues, and visionaries who align with my values: creativity, community, and elevated aesthetics. Whether it’s curating a luxury event experience, producing branded content, or leading workshops for wedding professionals — I’m always open to partnerships that make impact feel effortless.
