Meet Olimpia

We recently connected with Olimpia and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Olimpia, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

I’ve always known I was here to make a difference. Even as a young girl, I could feel this pull, this deep sense that I was meant to impact people, to bring about change, and to use my voice creatively. For a long time, I thought that would happen through acting. I saw myself on stages and screens, telling stories that would shift hearts. But what I’ve come to realize is that the core of my purpose was never about the platform, it was about the impact. I’m a creative. A visionary. An entrepreneur. And those are the gifts I’ve been given to serve my purpose in this world. But purpose isn’t always a straight road. Sometimes, it shows up in the detours.
There have been many seasons where I found myself trying to force things that just weren’t aligned – What I call “putting a circle in a square hole.” I think that’s one of the ways purpose finds us: through the discomfort of what doesn’t work. And in those moments, through closed doors, career shifts, personal losses, or unexpected endings, God was guiding me. It didn’t always feel like it at the time, but looking back, those hard moments were rerouting me. Not punishing me. Positioning me. Purpose also takes courage. It takes prayer, introspection, and honesty. I’ve spent time journaling, seeking clarity, asking God over and over again: “If I could do just one thing in this life (just one) what would it be?” The answer always brings me back to the same place: helping people, building, creating, uplifting. That’s how I found my purpose. Or maybe, that’s how my purpose found me.

It’s not about having all the answers. It’s about having the willingness to be led, back to yourself, back to your calling, back to what lights your spirit up. And that’s what I continue to walk in every day.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m Olimpia Fernandez! A creative visionary, founder, and purpose-driven brand builder. I created Robi Rose as more than a cosmetics company; it’s a movement. Built from the ground up with my own two hands, Robi Rose was born out of my own experiences as a mother, a creative, and a woman who spent years giving to others while learning to give back to herself. Our mission is simple but powerful: empower yourself, empower the future. We believe beauty should be guilt-free, so every lipstick purchased supports initiatives that give back to children. From local schools and community centers to Autism Speaks and back-to-school drives. As a former actress and makeup artist in Los Angeles, I dreamed of launching a brand that blended artistry with impact and that’s exactly what Robi Rose is. We create luxurious, long-wear lipsticks designed for the modern woman, especially the moms on the move who deserve products that keep up with their day and give back in the process. But I don’t stop there. I also lead Luxury Leverage, my creative operations consulting firm where I support entertainment brands, productions, and major events by managing the magic behind the scenes because every big dream needs structure to soar. From red carpets to artist rollouts, I’ve built a career helping others turn their vision into impact. Everything I do, whether through beauty or business, is about legacy: building something bigger than me, something I can pass on to my child and grandchildren. I’m not just selling lipstick. I’m creating platforms, empowering lives, and leaving a mark with intention, with heart, and with style.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, the three most impactful qualities in my journey have been faith, perseverance, and self-belief. Faith has been the anchor! My ability to trust God’s timing, even when things felt uncertain, kept me grounded and reminded me that I was never walking alone. Perseverance showed up in every “no” I turned into a “not yet,” every closed door I learned to push back open. And self-belief? That’s the fuel. When no one else claps for you, you’ve got to still show up, still bet on yourself, still move forward like your dream is already unfolding.

To anyone early in their journey, my advice is: don’t be afraid to fail. The truth is, you don’t learn your greatest lessons from success, you learn them from the missteps, the setbacks, the trial and error. Every time you fall, you gain wisdom. Every time you try again, you get stronger. Embrace the mistakes! They’re part of the making. And surround yourself with people who believe in you, but also be prepared to stand strong when they don’t. Not everyone will understand your vision, and that’s okay. As long as you do, and as long as you commit to growing through the hard days, you’ll be unstoppable. Your purpose requires you to keep going, even when it’s not easy. So build your circle wisely, stay rooted in your why, and never forget that sometimes the only approval you need is your own.

To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?

I was raised by a strong, hardworking single mother who gave me so much more than just love, she gave me freedom. She worked tirelessly to make sure we had what we needed and taught us, by example, to be God-fearing, faith-filled, and resilient. She instilled in me the importance of hard work, staying focused, and never giving up on my dreams no matter how far or how wild they seemed.
But the most impactful thing she did for me was that she always gave me the space to be myself. She never tried to shape my path into something she envisioned. She let me run my own race. Even if she didn’t always understand it, she supported every turn I took. From acting and artistry to entrepreneurship and brand building. She’s been my biggest cheerleader through all the twists and turns that come with being a creative and a dreamer.
When you’re building a life that doesn’t follow a traditional blueprint, the support of someone who simply believes in you means everything. My mother never asked me to shrink or conform. She reminded me constantly to believe in myself, to keep my eyes on God, and to never let the world’s noise drown out my purpose.
And in a world where everyone’s trying to fit in, the greatest gift you can receive, and give yourself is the permission to stand out. Be yourself. God only made one you, and no one can do it better!!
