Starr, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
found my purpose by first finding myself. Life gave me many roles to play—mother, entrepreneur, healer, visionary—but it was through my own spiritual awakening and healing journey that I truly aligned with what I was called to do. I realized that everything I’d experienced—both the challenges and the triumphs—were divine lessons that led me to help others reclaim their power, restore their peace, and remember their worth.
GodXess was born from that alignment. I knew I was meant to create a space—physically and energetically—where people could feel safe, supported, and spiritually seen. My purpose is to help others heal holistically, from the inside out, and remind them that wholeness isn’t something we chase—it’s something we return to.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m Dr. Starr B., and I’m the founder of GodXess LLC, a holistic wellness brand rooted in self-love, spiritual healing, and natural beauty. At GodXess, we combine ancient wisdom with modern practices to help individuals restore balance in their minds, bodies, and souls. Whether it’s through our vegan hair care line, spiritual wellness services, or energy-based healing experiences like Reiki, yoni steams, or aura readings, our mission is to uplift, empower, and nurture the divine essence in every soul we touch.
What makes GodXess truly special is that it’s more than a brand—it’s an experience. It’s about redefining what it means to care for yourself. It’s not just about physical appearance; it’s about how you feel spiritually, emotionally, and energetically. We honor the crown—both literally and metaphorically.
Right now, we’re expanding our reach in exciting ways. We’re planning “Hair & Healing” parties, a throwback to sacred sister circles and community gatherings with a twist—bringing fun, education, and holistic hair care directly to homes and events. We’re also continuing to grow our GodXess vegan hair product line, which includes hair oil, edge control, foam, detangler spray, and more—all crafted with intention and love.
Our location in Alpharetta, GA is inside Phenix Salon Suites, and it’s more than a suite—it’s a sanctuary. We invite anyone who’s looking to reset, recharge, or reconnect with themselves to visit us and experience GodXess for themselves.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, the three most impactful qualities in my journey have been:
Resilience – There were moments when life tried to break me, but I refused to let it. Resilience helped me stay grounded through the storms and turn pain into purpose. For those early in their journey, I encourage you to build resilience by embracing challenges as teachers. Journal, reflect, and allow every experience to sharpen—not shatter—you.
Intuition – Learning to trust my inner voice changed everything. The world will try to pull you in many directions, but your spirit knows the way. For anyone developing this skill, start by getting still. Meditation, grounding practices, and spending time in nature can help you quiet the noise and tune into your truth.
Service-Minded Leadership – My work isn’t about me—it’s about who I serve. Leading with compassion, empathy, and spiritual responsibility has allowed my brand to grow in alignment with purpose. If you’re starting out, focus less on what you can get and more on what you can give. The impact and abundance will follow.
The journey isn’t always easy, but it’s worth it. Keep evolving, stay authentic, and remember—your path is sacred.
