We recently connected with Kierra Hagins and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Kierra, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

I found my purpose after catching covid in 2019 being quarantined for 2 weeks which led me to reading my bible crying out to God while also preparing to take retake my state exam for cosmetology .

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am a serial entrepreneur where I currently have slowly transitioned from working behind the chair full time as a stylist to teach and mentor business owners and those headed in that direction . I still currently hold an active cosmetology license but am working towards opening a salon and academy for those in the beauty industry to learn and expand professionally all centered around a biblical leadership and foundation . I also lead a global community for women who desire to talk business with God those who may not know there purpose in the marketplace or those who do but desire to please God in the industry they are called to serve . I help women know there purpose in the marketplace place and help push them into purpose. We currently have a private Facebook community, have weekly accountability prayer and quarterly teachings and meetings . We are expanding and excited to launch some new things in beginning 2026 and further.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back I think the top 3 things that were most impactful in my journey was 1 the Lord , 2 on the business side professionalism and 3 I would say compassion for others . What advice I would give those early in there journey would be to seek the Lord and allow him to build you . And as he builds the business , remain professional because it will help you keep a line between personal things and business . Keeping a heart to be compassionate towards others helps you remain humble .
