Meet Tangela Phillips-Lane

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tangela Phillips-Lane. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Tangela with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

My work ethic comes from being a single mother of 2 in 1996 Having 2 children under the age of 2. I knew I had to provide for them. The assistance I was receiving was not enough for the things we needed. . I knew then that I had to do something and I needed to show my girls what a strong independent woman looked liked. It was my desire to be a great mother and role-model for them that began to carve out my work ethic.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

’m Apostle Dr. T.P. Lane — an author, spiritual leader, educator, and creative visionary. Through NuViZion of Faith Kingdom Ministries and AWW-SUM Nation Kingdom Leadership School of Preparation, I equip leaders, intercessors, and Kingdom-minded individuals to walk boldly in their purpose. Whether I’m mentoring through ministry training, writing transformative books, designing prayer journals and planners, or delivering prophetic messages, my mission is to help others live healed, whole, and heaven-focused.

What excites me most is watching people discover who they are in God — and boldly rise into leadership, healing, and breakthrough. My brand merges faith, strategy, and creativity — offering books, apparel, eCourses, and prophetic resources that speak to the heart of Kingdom assignment.

✨ What’s New?
I’m currently launching several powerful projects including:
• My new books From Wailing to Travailing: The Rise of the Intercessors and Surviving a Pain-Demic which are available on Amazon. Each made the Amazon best seller list.
• Expansion of ViZionary EDU-Center in Salisbury, NC, offering tutoring, mentorship, and entrepreneurial training
• Monthly Kingdom newsletters and exclusive email community updates
• New Canva templates, study guides, and printable resources for faith-based leaders and creatives
• Fresh podcast episodes on Kingdom Keys & Konversation

Every message, product, and resource I create is a call to rise — spiritually, mentally, and purposefully. If you’re ready to move from potential to purpose, you’re in the right place.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, the three most impactful qualities in my journey have been:

1. Spiritual Discernment & Obedience

Understanding how to hear and follow the voice of God has been the foundation of everything I’ve built — from ministry to business. Discernment isn’t just about recognizing good vs. evil; it’s about knowing when to move, what to pursue, and who to align with.

Advice:
Cultivate intimacy with God through consistent prayer, fasting, and study of the Word. Don’t chase platforms—chase His presence. The more you honor His voice in small things, the more He’ll trust you with greater assignments.

2. Leadership & Communication

Leading people with clarity, compassion, and conviction has opened doors that titles alone never could. Learning how to speak life, teach with power, and lead by example has allowed me to pour into others effectively.

Advice:
Invest in leadership development — spiritually and practically. Read, take courses, watch how great leaders handle challenges. Most of all, lead from a place of authenticity and humility, not performance.

3. Vision & Strategy

God gives vision, but it’s our responsibility to steward it with strategy. From launching schools and books to digital products and outreach programs, learning to plan and pivot has been vital.

Advice:
Write the vision and make it plain — but also break it into actionable steps. Don’t despise small beginnings. Get comfortable with structure, systems, and timelines. And surround yourself with wise counsel who can help you bring vision to life.

Final Encouragement:
You don’t have to know everything when you start. You just need to be willing, teachable, and consistent. Honor your process, stay anchored in faith, and never stop growing.

Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?

In the past 12 months, my biggest area of growth has been in embracing divine timing while mastering alignment and capacity.

For so long, I was used to pushing forward — launching, building, creating — but this past year taught me the power of pacing. I’ve grown in trusting God’s timing, not just for release but for rest, realignment, and refreshing. I’ve learned that success isn’t just measured by output — but by obedience, stewardship, and the fruit that remains.

Key Growth Points:
• Capacity Building: I’ve learned to delegate more, build systems, and expand my team and infrastructure to prepare for what’s next.
• Strategic Focus: Rather than trying to do everything, I’ve grown in clarifying what’s essential and saying no to distractions, even good ones.
• Spiritual Maturity: I’ve grown deeper in discernment, silence, and stillness. Some of the greatest revelations didn’t come from movement—but from listening.

This past year wasn’t just about doing more — it was about becoming more aligned with Heaven’s blueprint for my life and assignments.
