Meet Cheyenne Underwood

We recently connected with Cheyenne Underwood and have shared our conversation below.

Cheyenne, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

My purpose revealed itself through my own journey of healing, motherhood, and building a business from scratch while navigating some of the hardest seasons of my life. I realized I wasn’t just creating a business, I was rewriting a story I didn’t want to repeat.

Now, my purpose is to help women love themselves deeper, build real confidence, and create businesses that feel just as good on the inside as they look on the outside. I’m here for the moms in the thick of it, the women overcoming trauma, the cycle-breakers who are building something bigger than themselves. I want them to know they’re not alone, and they don’t have to choose between their healing, their family, or their dreams. They can have all of it, with the right support and systems.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I’m a business coach, educator, and boudoir/ branding photographer. Though at my core, I help women build confidence, step into their power, and create businesses that actually support the life they want. What makes my work special is that it’s rooted in real life. I’m a mom of three, I’ve built a multi-six-figure business from the ground up, and I know what it’s like to build a dream while managing chaos, healing from the past, and trying to be present for your family.

My brand is all about blending strategy with self-worth; helping women simplify their systems, elevate their marketing, and show up with confidence, even if life is messy.

Right now, I’m launching a brand-new course for photographers called Booked + Balanced, which teaches seasoned creatives how to create sustainable, freedom-based businesses through the power of systems, content strategy, and mindset shifts. It’s for the women who are done with hustle culture and are ready to build a business that feels aligned, scalable, and deeply fulfilling.

Whether it’s through a camera lens or a coaching call, my goal is always the same: to help women see their worth, own their voice, and build something beautiful that lasts.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

The three most impactful things in my journey have been: self-awareness, storytelling, and systems.

Self-awareness gave me the clarity to know what kind of life I actually wanted, not just what looked good on the outside. When you know yourself deeply, you build a business that supports you, not one that drains you.

Advice for others: Start checking in with yourself often. What feels aligned? What feels heavy? Your body and burnout will always tell you the truth before your mind catches up.

Storytelling helped me connect with my audience and grow my brand. I didn’t just share tips, I showed up as me. My highs, lows, motherhood chaos, and the real behind-the-scenes. That’s what builds trust and community.

My Advice: Don’t wait until you “have it all figured out” to show up. You’re allowed to show up messy. Your story right now is enough, and someone needs to hear it.

Systems changed EVERYTHING FOR ME. As a mom and entrepreneur, I couldn’t keep building on hustle alone. I had to learn how to streamline, automate, and create workflows that worked for me and allowed room for rest.

My Advice: Don’t overcomplicate it. Start small; batch your content, automate emails, and get your time back. Freedom comes from structure.

At the end of the day, my advice is simple: build with intention, give yourself grace, and know that your journey doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s to be powerful.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

Oh absolutely! I’m always open to collabs. but not just any collabs. I’m looking for aligned, mission-driven brands and creators who are here to actually empower women.

If you’re building something bold, empowering, and a little rebellious (in the best way) I want to hear from you & support you. Whether it’s a podcast, a partnership, a product collab, or creating content that actually converts, I’m down to make magic with people who get the assignment.

Let’s ditch the performative stuff and collaborate in a way that brings real value to real people. especially women who are juggling life, business, healing, and trying to become the version of themselves they’ve always dreamed of.
