We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Tiffany Berger a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Tiffany, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
Breathwork has been a powerful catalyst in the development of my self-esteem and confidence. Through this practice, I came to understand the vital difference between self-worth and self-confidence—realizing that self-worth is an internal knowing of my inherent value and eternal nature, while self-confidence is my belief in my abilities and skills as they relate to the world around me. Breathwork gave me the clarity to discern what is truly in alignment with my soul’s expansion and the courage to take aligned action toward it. As I tuned into my breath, I quieted the noise of external expectations and reconnected to my truth, which naturally strengthened my self-esteem. Over time, I stopped trying to perform or prove, and instead, began showing up from a place of wholeness. Breathwork has given me the inner stability to trust myself and the outer confidence to share my gifts with the world.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
At Breathworx614, I guide individuals and professionals through trauma-informed breathwork and life coaching to support nervous system regulation, emotional healing, and embodied transformation. What’s most exciting to me is witnessing clients reconnect with their true essence—moving beyond burnout, self-doubt, or emotional overwhelm into a grounded sense of peace, clarity, and purpose. Breathwork is powerful because it bypasses the mind’s defenses and goes straight to the body, allowing for healing that is both profound and lasting.
What makes Breathworx614 unique is that we don’t just teach breathwork as a technique—we support you in becoming it. Whether you’re receiving private sessions or enrolling in one of our certification programs, the journey is always about integrating mind, body, and spirit so that healing becomes a lived experience, not just a concept.
Right now is a particularly exciting time for Breathworx614: both of our certification programs—Trauma-Informed Breathwork Facilitator Certification and Breathworker Life Coach Certification—have officially been approved by the State Board, making them two of the first of their kind in Ohio! These programs empower professionals like educators, therapists, and coaches to incorporate somatic, spiritual, and trauma-informed tools into their work, expanding their impact in deeply meaningful ways. Our next cohort launches in the fall, and I’m so honored to be growing a community of facilitators who are truly changing the way healing is offered in the world.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Three qualities that have been most impactful in my entrepreneurial journey are: prioritizing energy over strategy, maintaining a consistent breathwork practice, and surrendering fear for faith. Early on, I believed success was solely driven by hustle and planning. But over time, I learned that when my energy is aligned—when I’m grounded, present, and regulated—opportunities fall into my lap and everything I create flows with greater ease and impact. Strategy is important, but without energetic alignment, it can quickly become draining or misaligned.
My breathwork practice has been the cornerstone of that alignment. It’s where I return to myself, regulate my nervous system, and receive clarity on what’s true for me. This consistent inner work allows me to lead from a place of embodiment and integrity, not performance or pressure.
Lastly, surrendering fear for faith has been transformational. Every time I chose to trust the unknown, to move forward even when outcomes weren’t guaranteed, doors opened that I couldn’t have planned for. For anyone just beginning their journey, my advice is this: do the inner work first. Tune into your body, your breath, and your truth. Let your energy lead, and trust that when you move from a place of alignment and purpose, everything else will follow.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
A book that has played an instrumental role in my personal and professional development is The Four Agreements (plus its powerful addition, The Fifth Agreement) by Don Miguel Ruiz. These agreements have not only supported me in deepening my self-awareness and spiritual practice, but have become foundational principles in how I lead Breathworx614, parent my three children, nurture my marriage, and show up in my community.
Here’s how I embody these five agreements:
Be Impeccable with Your Word
As a Breathworker Life Coach and mentor, I understand the power of language to heal or harm. I use my words to empower, encourage, and support—not only my clients, but also my children, my students, and myself. Being impeccable with my word means leading with integrity and choosing language that uplifts and aligns with love.
Don’t Take Anything Personally
As a sensitive and intuitive woman, this one was a hard, but freeing lesson. Breathwork has taught me to observe others’ projections as reflections of their inner world—not mine. This agreement helps me remain grounded in my worth, especially when navigating the vulnerable spaces of facilitation, entrepreneurship, or family life. I’ve learned to honor my peace without closing my heart.
Don’t Make Assumptions
Whether with a client, a friend, or my own children, I’ve found that clarity and curiosity always lead to deeper connection. I practice this agreement by asking questions, listening with an open heart, and allowing others the space to share their truth without my filters getting in the way. This applies beautifully to the breathwork journey too—where meaning unfolds uniquely for each person.
Always Do Your Best
This agreement meets me daily—as a business owner, wife, mom, daughter, and community leader. I remind myself that “my best” varies depending on my energy, emotions, and circumstances. Some days, my best looks like facilitating transformation. Other days, it’s resting deeply. Honoring this agreement keeps me from falling into perfectionism and invites me into grace.
Be Skeptical, But Learn to Listen
This fifth agreement invites discernment, which is essential in a world full of information and outside opinions. As a conscious creator, I observe others’ beliefs and projections, but I choose which ones serve the expansion of my soul. It’s how I stay attuned to my truth and make decisions in alignment with my mission.
Ultimately, these agreements have helped me become a steward of creation—not just in the park I’ve adopted in my neighborhood, but within every interaction, every breath, and every heart I get to hold space for. They allow me to be the bridge between compassion and boundaries, healing and expansion, breath and being.
