Meet Kenneth Carter III

We recently connected with Kenneth Carter III and have shared our conversation below.

Kenneth, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
I gained my resilience from taking a deep look into my past to discover that feeling that was omnipresent as I overcame adversity.

That feeling alone has given me the strength to see situations from a emotional standpoint coupled with the logical outcomes that may arise.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I currently own and operate a nationwide logistics company who supports the supply chains of multiple organizations within different states and U.S. Ports. We are a green logistics company who reduces freight transportation-related emissions.

Our mission is to empower individuals to find their purpose, embrace self-discovery, and make a positive impact in their community by connecting the world to superior products through our logistics solutions. We do that by being passionate about the future of our children and work with The Boys and Girls Club of Eatonville to give back to the community.

Our newest service offered is our temperature controlled less than truckload options that help clients ship perishable goods with refrigerated trucks.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Optimism. Resilience. Confidence.

My advise to people who are early in their journey would be to be confident in their decisions no matter what you think others may say. Always look for the positives in any situation and never back down from your dreams.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
The most impactful thing my parents did for me was to allow me to express myself openly and gave me the opportunity to find my own voice and purpose in life.
