Hi Raquel , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
My mother and my Grandmother. Growing up, I saw them living in complete strength no matter what life circumstances they were facing. My mother taught me the power of a good work ethic, and my Grandmother taught me to never give up on my dreams. Both of them were single mothers who persevered and transcended hardships, which was really empowering for me to witness. I was always inspired by their willingness to succeed, and this is something I carry with me. When life presents challenges, I remember that I come from a long line of fearless women, and I don’t give up- I try harder.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m a professional Astrologer, Tarot Reader, and Mentor for those who want to create their dream lives. My mission is to empower and up-lift others with ancient esoteric wisdoms and heart-felt support. I love guiding people through transformations and awakenings that positively shape their experience. I believe we all have the ability to rise into our greatness and evolve to new heights. I facilitate the Charmed Community, which is a private online space that will help you tap into your magic. Inside, you’ll find content centered around Astrology, Tarot, Rituals, and Manifestation. We gather monthly for live New Moon Ritual Events, which are super special. The Charmed Community is something I’m extremely proud of and it’s the perfect place to make empowering, long-lasting friendships with likeminded people who are also on a path of self-discovery. There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The three things that have been instrumental in my success have been confidence, people skills, and the study of my craft.

I used to be painfully shy, but entrepreneurship taught me the importance of finding my power and showing up in the world to showcase it. I realized that I can’t share who I am or my gifts if I’m hiding myself away, and with that, I developed courage and confidence.

Learning how to engage, interact, and understand other people has been really important, too. I believe we’re nothing without each other, and to experience deep bonds and relationships, we have to be able to cultivate certain skills like active listening, space holding, and inspiring others. When I learned how to connect with people in a meaningful way, life really opened up for me. I view every interaction as a collaboration.

Studying Astrology & Tarot has also majorly impacted my life and my journey. I am a forever student of these practices and my willingness to be teachable is what keeps me at the top of my game. You can never know everything there is to know, and an awareness around this creates humility. I believe we can always grow and learn more, so it’s vital to make the space for that to happen… and to be graceful about it.

Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?
I’ve grown so much in the last year! The biggest adjustment I made was with how I manifest my desires into reality. I recently manifested my dream house, which is something I didn’t think was possible 12 months ago.

One thing I changed in my manifestation process was the level of trust I had. I realized that if I don’t have trust that things will work out for me, it’s more difficult to bring my visions to life. So, I started to develop trust in future outcomes, even if they were unknown. I put in every effort I could toward my manifestations, and then let the Universe do the rest for me. This required strength and surrender, with surrender probably being the most difficult for me. As a recovering perfectionist, I tend to want to control situations. But by loosening my grip and releasing control, I actually felt relieved which freed up my energy for more aligned and productive things. I *trusted* and believed that everything would work out for me… and it did! Having trust is how I manifested, and how I plan to continue manifesting for myself in the future.
