Meet Albert Bramante

We were lucky to catch up with Albert Bramante recently and have shared our conversation below.

Albert, so good to have you with us today. We’ve got so much planned, so let’s jump right into it. We live in such a diverse world, and in many ways the world is getting better and more understanding but it’s far from perfect. There are so many times where folks find themselves in rooms or situations where they are the only ones that look like them – that might mean being the only woman of color in the room or the only person who grew up in a certain environment etc. Can you talk to us about how you’ve managed to thrive even in situations where you were the only one in the room?

For some this may be somewhat jarring, for me I appreciate this. We are all unique and have our own backgrounds, strengths, & struggles. We can all learn from each other and the differences that we have can be valuable. We learn the best when we are exposed to different perspectives and view points. This is what makes us so amazing as human beings.

When I was younger, I was so concerned and determined to fit in, so my younger self may have been triggered with anxierty if this wa the case.

It would be boring if everyone in the room looked like me ! 🙂

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I have been a college professor for the past 22nd years and I have also been talent agent for the past 21 years. I represent actors for film, TV, Theater, Commercials, and print. Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

I would say having a growth mindset and grit (aka resilience) is important to keep preserving

I overcome a lot in my life as I had a physical limitations as a baby and child. I am thankful that my parents fought hard for me. The main thing is to put yourself out there and take small actions. Do what you love

If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade?

I would create more books and podcasts so that I leave behind material that can help so many even when I am no longer here. I would spend time as much as I can with family and love d ones.
