Jahlil, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

The ways that I developed these skills are by focusing on self-acceptance, positive self-talk, and surrounding myself around supportive people . The type of person that i have grew up to be i never really cared about anyone else thoughts or opinions as long as i can see the progress in every shoot and I’m doing what i enjoy doing!

Hello , my name is Jah’lil Brooks im a 23yr old photographer & videographer in Atlanta Ga. I feel that the special thing about my career is being able to capture someone’s memorable moments and being to help create those idea experiences!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

I believe the three most important qualities, skills, and areas of knowledge are technical proficiency, creativity and vision, and attention to detail. Mastering camera settings and editing software allows me to capture and enhance images effectively. Having a creative vision helps me to tell stories and convey messages through my photos. Finally, attention to detail ensures that every aspect of the image, from composition to post-processing, is polished and impactful.”

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?

The Beginner’s Photography Guide book has played the most important role in my development of my career and the most valuable things of wisdom that I received from it was really understanding the basic setting of the camera as such as iso, aperture and shutter speed and the importance of each.
