Meet Gabby Rhodes

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Gabby Rhodes. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Gabby , thank you so much for opening up with us about some important, but sometimes personal topics. One that really matters to us is overcoming Imposter Syndrome because we’ve seen how so many people are held back in life because of this and so we’d really appreciate hearing about how you overcame Imposter Syndrome.

This is SO tough and I feel like it is a continuous battle. Overcoming it can be a challenge, but I will say that practicing a good mindset when scrolling through instagram is a must. Comparison really is the thief of joy and if we let it go too far it really will steal what we love!

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I’m a Colorado based wedding and elopement photographer who focuses on connection and intentionality in my business. I love storytelling and my style leans into editorial and film feel.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Resilience, positivity and willing to learn. Every day in the business is a learning curve especially as social media changes so quickly. Handling rejection well is a must in the photography industry!

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?

I have worked incredibly hard on improving my mindset behind my business. I am determined to be successful and I have really needed to start acting this out in my daily confidence. Even just getting up and getting ready in a way that shows my value is important.
