We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Emma Jackson. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Emma below.
Emma, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
My purpose didn’t arrive in one big lightning bolt moment like I think most people expect it too. Instead, it came through very quiet nudges, unexpected pivots, and moments of deep deep surrender.
I graduated from business school with a degree specializing in marketing and was managing several therapy businesses behind the scenes. I followed the traditional path, checking all the boxes of what I thought success was supposed to look like. And for a while, it really did work… until it didn’t. I felt unfulfilled, disconnected, and like I was living someone else’s version of success honestly. Doing what I thought I “should” be doing.
Everything started to shift during a season of burnout and heartbreak. I moved back home to live with my dad, slowed down, and began to reconnect with myself. I wasn’t searching for my purpose at the time honestly, I was just trying to feel like me again. Which is the exact advice I would give to those trying to find their purpose… find yourself. Through yoga, journaling, energy work, and spiritual exploration, I began to remember parts of myself I had tucked away and buried deep.
While I was living in Costa Rica, I discovered Human Design… and everything clicked. I learned I was a Mental Projector, one of the rarest energy types, and suddenly my whole life made complete sense. My sensitivity, my way of seeing people deeply, the need for quiet space, the urge to guide others… I felt like the parts of myself that I struggled to accept just became my superpower having that validation that it was part of my design!
That was a big turning point for me. I stopped trying to fit into the hustle-and-grind mold I had learned in business school and started building something soul-led… a business that honoured my energy, my gifts, and my unique path. This is exactly how Soulful Sunshine was born.
What started as a personal healing journey evolved into a mission to help others reconnect with their own truth and purpose. Now I know that purpose isn’t always a job title or a five-year plan… it’s a frequency we embody. It’s how we show up, what we awaken in others, and the energy we choose to lead with.
I’ve come to believe that what’s meant for you will always find its way. It may not always be easy trust me I know, but it will feel aligned… it will feel like a quiet magnet pulling you forward. And what’s not meant for you? It will feel like the opposite: resistance, burnout, things just not clicking no matter how hard you try. Flow over force. Learning to trust that energetic difference changed everything for me.
My purpose continues to evolve as I do… and I feel deeply honoured to walk alongside so many others as they remember theirs too.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Soulful Sunshine was born from a season of deep healing and transformation in my own life. After graduating business school and spending years assisting other women entrepreneurs to manage their dream business, I found myself burnt out, unfulfilled and CRAVING something more meaningful… something that really felt like mine.
I went through a chapter of DEEP rediscovery, reconnecting with my intuition, my spiritual gifts and the parts of myself I had silenced for way too long. That journey led me to energy healing, mediumship, Human Design, Quantum Coding and eventually to the understanding that I was here to guide others… not from a place of having all the answers, but rather from a place of presence, clarity and energetic wisdom. I actually pride myself on not having all the answers, because nobody does… it’s surrendering to the unknown that I have mastered in this lifetime and assist others in releasing control.
I created Soulful Sunshine as a sacred space for women to come home to themselves honestly,.. to remember who they are underneath the noise, to reconnect with their purpose and to reclaim their light so they could shine so bright in a world that so easily dims our light.
What makes this work so special to me is how personal and intuitive it is. No two paths look the same, and I honour that so deeply. It’s my favourite part of this work. I support every soul as they step into their next chapter… whether that’s through energy healing, spiritual guidance, or soul-led business mentorship. What excites me most is witnessing the moment someone softens into who they really are. It’s never about fixing… it’s ALWAYS about remembering. This reframe alone does wonders.
Right now, I’m focused on deepening the 1:1 mentorship side of my business. My signature offers include Soul-Led Success, a six-month business mentorship for entrepreneurs ready to align with their highest vision, and Soul Seekers, a three-month energetic and spiritual mentorship designed to help women reconnect with their truth and inner guidance.
I’m also working on building a sacred membership space and dreaming into a future where I host retreats on land that feels like home… rooted in nature, community and soul.
To me, Soulful Sunshine isn’t just a brand… it’s a frequency. It’s about guiding women back into joy, alignment, and self-trust… and holding space for their evolution every step of the way!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
1. Trust: This isn’t necessarily just self-trust (though that is a big part of it) but it’s more about having trust in something bigger. Whether you call it God, Source, the Universe, or Life itself… learning to trust the unseen, the timing of things, the whispers of my intuition, and the path unfolding before me has been foundational. I’ve had to heal a lot of old wounds around feeling unsafe, unsupported, and uncertain… and the more I’ve opened to trust, the more miracles have arrived.
My advice is to start noticing where your fear is louder than your faith. Trust doesn’t mean you’ll always feel certain… it means you’ll move anyway, knowing something greater is guiding you. Let yourself be held! Heal your wounds of receiving and being held that most of us carry within.
2. Understanding your energy: Everything changed when I started honouring my own energetic rhythm. As a Mental Projector in Human Design, I’m not built for constant output… and understanding my design helped me stop forcing what wasn’t aligned. But even outside of Human Design, it’s so important to understand what and who energizes you, drains you and how to work with your natural flow. Especially as a woman, we’re cyclical beings… and honouring our cycles, emotions, and intuitive seasons is non-negotiable in my opinion.
My advice is to observing how your energy moves throughout the day, the week, your menstrual cycle, or the moon phases. If you feel called, dive into Human Design to learn your energy type. The more you understand your rhythm, the more sustainable your growth will be, I promise.
3. Courage to evolve: Change is inevitable!!!! And yet so many of us fear it?! What’s brought me the most peace and expansion is embracing the truth that we are evolutionary beings. I’ve outgrown versions of myself, let go of offers and identities I once loved, and allowed myself to begin again more than once. Every time I did, I came home to a deeper truth and to a deeper part of myself.
My advice is don’t resist change… understand that it’s part of your soul’s journey. Trust that each version of you served a purpose, and the new one emerging is just as worthy. You’re allowed to change your mind, shift your path, and start fresh. In fact, it’s so unbeatably sacred to do so.

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
Over the past 12 months, my biggest area of growth has been learning to slow down and soften… especially in how I run my business and live my life.
For a long time, I measured my worth through how productive I was, and I think a lot of us get caught in this trap. Even in the spiritual space, it’s easy to get caught in a cycle of doing, proving, and pushing… forgetting that we are our greatest channel. I reached a point where I realized I was guiding others to honour their energy, but truthfully I wasn’t fully honouring my own.
This past year has been about coming back to my body, my rhythm, and my truth. I’ve been deepening my relationship with rest, trust, and feminine flow… building sustainable systems in my business, shifting how I create, and allowing myself to lead from presence instead of pressure.
A big part of that journey has included rediscovering my relationship with alcohol… getting really honest about what was serving me and what wasn’t. It wasn’t about extremes, but about clarity. About choosing alignment over autopilot. That theme has touched so many areas of my life honestly, and that’s what softening has meant to me.
I’ve also entered my Saturn return, and while that can sound intimidating to most, I see it as a powerful opportunity. If you’ve been doing the inner work, Saturn brings structure, grounding and long-term rewards. And if you haven’t, it’s simply a loving nudge to realign. I view it as a sacred checkpoint… a chance to anchor into the life you’re really meant to build!
This year has been about becoming the woman I’m here to be and this is not by doing more, but by coming home to less. Less noise, pressure and proving. And in that space, so much more has opened for me. I truly have my wildest dreams arriving in my reality every day and I am very blessed and grateful.
