We recently connected with Alex Sabonge and have shared our conversation below.

Alex, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

My parents divorced when I was 5 years old and since then I always developed a sense of responsibility towards my family. It helped me develop a leadership personality and established a high self-esteem on me.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

Since I was little I loved disassembling things to find out how they work. Started with computers. I fixed all the computers in my neighborhood. Then I graduated from FIU as an Industrial and Systems Engineer. Which lead me to develop software in 2008 for apple app store. I designed an app for the 2010 world cup and it hit number 2 in the United States in the Sport category. This lead me to appear in TV as I was a local app developer in Pembroke Pines. After that, I create an app for 6-10 year old girls singing daisies that became a Toy and was sold in toys r us and amazon. Later I got fired from my job and that was the best thing that happened to me as it motivated me to break the pattern on making money. So I established a print / web / app development company since then and been working on it for several years. My latest creation is Shiponadime.com. which allows users to use wholesale pricing for ups, fedex and upsp and save money and time, by avoiding going to the store and scheduling pickups from their home.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

What is the number one obstacle or challenge you are currently facing and what are you doing to try to resolve or overcome this challenge?

exposure. I am currently doing SEO, media ads, Cold calling, email marketing, networking.
