Meet Dustin Abrams

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Dustin Abrams. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Dustin, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

I have built confidence and self-esteem through overcoming various obstacles in life. I’ve learned a great deal from my friends and family, whose support and encouragement continuously motivate and inspire me to be the best version of myself. Learning from these incredible people has helped me grow both personally and professionally. Their guidance has shown me the importance of staying open to new experiences and continuously learning. As a result, I approach each day as an opportunity to grow and improve, which further reinforces my confidence and commitment to self-improvement.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I am passionate about helping others improve and enjoy the game of golf. I founded Par Partner to create a welcoming space where golfers of all skill levels can learn, grow, and lower their scores. I share tips and insights from some of the greatest players in the game, along with my own shots and product recommendations from trusted brands I collaborate with. My goal is to inspire confidence and facilitate continuous improvement—both on and off the course.

Growing up in a family with three brothers, sports and competition were a fundamental part of my life. We often spent time with our dad at the driving range or playing nine holes at the local municipal course. While we all shared a love for baseball—aspiring to follow in the footsteps of our grandfather, who played for the Brooklyn Dodgers—the path I ultimately took was through football.

After playing college football at Fresno State and San Diego State University, I discovered a new passion for golf. In 2012, after graduating, I became a certified personal trainer. From the start, I knew I wanted to work with athletes, and I am now certified under Titleist to help golfers of all ages improve their movement and swing—focusing on the vital connection between body and swing to enhance performance.

I genuinely love what I do because I enjoy helping others reach their goals, experience the joy of progress, and develop a deeper connection to the game. Every day offers an opportunity to learn, grow, and inspire others on their journey.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Three qualities or areas of expertise that have been truly impactful in my journey are resilience, the importance of surrounding yourself with genuine support, and having authentic passion for what you do.

Firstly, I believe it’s essential to embrace the journey with an open mind and make the best of each step along the way. You never really know what’s in store, so focusing on the process and staying positive can make all the difference.

Secondly, surrounding yourself with the right people is crucial. This doesn’t just mean having people who agree with everything you do, but rather those who genuinely care about your growth and success. Authentic support and honest feedback are invaluable in helping you navigate challenges and stay motivated.

Lastly, passion is key. When you truly love what you do, it shows. People can sense genuine enthusiasm and authenticity, which inspires confidence in others and fuels your own motivation to keep pushing forward.

My advice for those just starting out is to stay resilient, cherish the process, seek out meaningful connections, and pursue what genuinely excites you. Trust that with dedication and passion, you’ll create a path that’s uniquely yours.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?

The most impactful thing my parents did for me was allowing me to be myself and encouraging me to find my own path. They never compared me to my brothers, but instead supported my individual journey. That unwavering belief and acceptance from them gave me the confidence to pursue my passions and stay true to who I am. It’s a gift that has provided me with the strength and resilience I carry with me today, and I am truly grateful for their support.
