Meet Jaimie Malone

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jaimie Malone a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Jaimie, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

I inherited my strong work ethic from my parents, John and Karen Bloxsom, who have always led by example. Their dedication and determination paved the way for their success, and they’ve consistently supported and encouraged me to strive for excellence and become the best version of myself.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

At JMalone Designs, I help people transform their homes into spaces that truly reflect who they are. Whether it’s through full-service interior design, staging for resale, or restyling using what you already own, my goal is always the same: to create beautiful, functional, and welcoming spaces that make life feel easier and more inspired.

What excites me most is seeing the relief and joy on my clients’ faces when their homes finally feel like them. Moving can be stressful and overwhelming, but with my move-in management services – including unpacking, organizing, and arranging furniture for optimal flow – clients can settle in quickly and start enjoying their new space right away.

I love that my work is never just about decor; it’s about creating comfort, calm, and confidence in each person’s daily life. I’m also excited to now offer virtual design consultations, allowing me to provide professional guidance and inspiration to clients wherever they are. This service is perfect for those needing a quick refresh, advice on a room they’re stuck on, or design direction for a renovation.

At JMalone Designs, I believe that everyone deserves a home they love walking into. It’s about creating spaces that are not only beautiful but also support your lifestyle, routines, and dreams.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, three qualities and skills that have been most impactful in my journey are adaptability, listening, and confidence in my vision.

Adaptability has been crucial because every client, home, and situation is different. Being able to pivot quickly, find creative solutions on the spot, and adjust designs to real-life needs has helped me build trust and keep projects moving smoothly, no matter what challenges come up.

Being in a clients home is so personal. Listening is key skill that has made all the difference. Truly hearing what a client wants – not just their words, but their lifestyle, emotions, and unspoken needs – allows me to design spaces that feel like them, not just like a page out of a magazine.

Finally, having confidence in my vision has allowed me to grow and stand out. In the beginning, it’s easy to second-guess yourself, but your eye and intuition are what set you apart. Clients come to you because they trust you to guide them. The sooner you trust yourself, the better you’ll serve them.

For anyone early in their journey, my advice is:
1. Stay flexible. Learn to roll with surprises and see them as opportunities for creativity.
2. Listen deeply. Clients will tell you everything you need to know if you pay attention.
3. Believe in your perspective. Keep refining your skills, but don’t dilute your style or voice to match everyone else. Your uniqueness is your strength.

If you focus on those areas, you’ll not only grow your business but also build lasting relationships with people who value what you bring into their lives.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

I’m always looking to collaborate with like-minded professionals who share my passion for creating beautiful, functional, and welcoming spaces. I love partnering with real estate agents, builders, and relocation specialists to help their clients settle in seamlessly and make their new homes feel like home from day one. I also enjoy collaborating with organizers, artists, and local makers whose work can enhance and personalize the spaces I design.

If you’re someone who values integrity, creativity, and providing clients with an elevated experience, I would love to connect. You can reach out to me directly through my website at www.jmalonedesigns.com, or send me a message on Instagram or Facebook @JMaloneDesigns to start a conversation about how we can support each other’s clients and grow together.

At the end of the day, I believe great design is a team effort, and I’m always excited to expand my circle with professionals who bring expertise, positive energy, and care to what they do.
