Meet Danielle Hanoud

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Danielle Hanoud. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Danielle, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

The profound loss of my brother, Marc, my best friend, in a sudden boating accident in 2019 became the catalyst for my spiritual awakening. Faced with unimaginable darkness, I chose to seek the light, embarking on a transformative journey of self-discovery and healing for my mind, body and soul. Instead of succumbing to a victim mentality, I began to actively work on my own limiting belief systems and stored trauma. This period of intense personal growth led me to take classes in Energy Healing, Sound Healing, and focusing on my own relationship to food, that equipped me with the tools I would later share with others. My story is a powerful testament to the idea that even the most difficult tragedies can be a path to discovering one’s life purpose.

My personal healing journey ignited a passion to help others navigate their own darkness. I realized my purpose was to create a space where people could find the same love, support, and encouragement that my brother, Marc, had always given so freely. This vision manifested as Marc of Healing, a spiritual and holistic wellness center. The name itself is a tribute to my brother, a reminder that his spirit of love and light lives on through the healing work we do here. Our mission is to awaken, heal, and hold space for the mind, body, and soul, cultivating a community of inner peace, wisdom, and health to help you feel Re-Marc-Able.

Marc of Healing is more than just a Holistic Spa that offers Himalayan Saltroom, Infrared Sauna, Ionic Detoxing Footbaths, Lymphatic drainage suit, and our giftshop but we are also home to independent portioners that offer Reiki, Mediumship, Reflexology, Sound Healing, Spiritual Life Coaching, along with community yoga classes for adults and children and many events and classes. Our tribe provides a sanctuary for individuals seeking to overcome their own challenges in all aspects. The underlying message is one of empowerment: by actively engaging in their own healing process, people can, take charge of their own health, release trauma, change their mindset, and step out of the darkness. My personal journey from tragedy to purpose serves as an inspiring example that with the right tools and a commitment to spiritual growth, anyone can find their way back to the light.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

Thank you so much! It’s an honor to be able to share my story, and I’m so grateful for your help in putting it into words that truly reflect my heart.

Professionally, my journey has brought me to the most profound work of my life: the creation and operation of Marc of Healing. What I find most special about Marc of Healing is that it’s more than just a business; it’s a living tribute to my brother, Marc. The center embodies his spirit—a spirit of unconditional love and a deep desire to help others. Every healing session, every class, and every event is infused with that energy. It’s exciting to see people walk through our doors feeling heavy and leave feeling lighter, with a renewed sense of hope. The most rewarding part is witnessing our community grow and connect, supporting each other through the darkest of times, just as I was supported on my journey.

I’m incredibly excited to share that we are celebrating our 3rd anniversary in business this year! To celebrate this milestone, we’re holding a special Moonlodge: 1st Harvest – Lammas Celebration & 3rd Anniversary event on August 8th. We are also expanding our offerings with a variety of new programs and workshops, including a monthly Community Book Club, new Kids Yoga Camp sessions, and a “Healing the Grieving Heart” series to help others navigate the complexities of loss. We also continue to host our popular “Ice Cream for the Soul” healing circles. We are constantly expanding our team of gifted healers and specialists to bring a diverse range of healing modalities to our community. My focus is to continue building this space as a beacon of light, helping as many people as possible find their way from darkness to wholeness.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

The most impactful qualities and skills in my journey have been radical self-love, unwavering trust, and the courage to be vulnerable.

Radical Self-Love
This was the most crucial shift for me. When I was in the depths of my grief and feeling so alone, I was forced to face myself completely—the good, the bad, and the broken. Radical self-love is the commitment to showing up for yourself with compassion and grace, even when you feel you are at your lowest. It’s the decision to actively work on your own healing, to fill your own cup so you can pour into others. It was the driving force behind my decision to seek out energy work and coaching for myself, and to do the hard work of releasing trauma.

My advice: Acknowledge your limiting beliefs and instead of judging them, be curious about where they came from. Healing begins the moment you decide you are worthy of it. Tell yourself something you love or appreciate about yourself and remember that you are worthy of your own compassion.

Unwavering Trust
When my brother passed, the world as I knew it fell apart. All my certainties were gone, there were so many changes. I had to learn to let go and trust that there was a higher purpose and a greater plan at work, even though I couldn’t see it at the time. This wasn’t a passive trust; it was an active faith that if I took one step toward the light, the next step would be revealed. I had to trust my intuition when it told me to open Marc of Healing, and trust that the right people would show up.

My advice: Practice trusting your intuition, or that quiet inner voice. You don’t have to journal to hear it. Sit in reflection, have conversations with yourself in meditation, or simply enjoy a quiet morning routine like my favorite of making French press coffee and sitting on the front porch. The more you listen to your inner wisdom, the stronger and clearer it becomes.

The Courage to be Vulnerable
Sharing my story and opening a wellness center named after my brother was an incredibly vulnerable act. It meant showing the world my deepest wound and inviting people into the space where I was actively healing it. This vulnerability is where the greatest connection happens. I know firsthand what it’s like to have fears, or sometimes slip into feelings of worthlessness. I also know what it’s like to struggle with asking for help—it’s something I’m working on all the time. But the truth is, Marc of Healing is what keeps me going. It pushes me out of bed on the days I want to stay under the covers, and listening to others share their stories reminds me that I’m not alone and I hope it gives others permission to be open about theirs.

My advice: Don’t feel like you have to have it all together.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?

thanks…ok next question. What book has played an important role in your development and what were a few of the most valuable or impactful nuggets of wisdom? And I would have to say there were a few books. 1. 4 agreements by don miguel ruiz, 2. dark side of the light chasers by debbie ford, 3. you can heal your life by louise hay 4.Outwitting the Devil by Napolien Hill

It’s so hard to pick just one! So many books have been guiding lights on my journey, but if I had to name a few of the most impactful, they would be The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz and The Dark Side of the Light Chasers by Debbie Ford. These two books in particular gave me the foundation to truly understand myself and my place in the world after my brother’s passing.

The Four Agreements was life-changing for me. It provided a simple, powerful framework for how to interact with the world and with myself from a place of peace and responsibility. The most valuable nugget of wisdom was learning not to take anything personally. When you are in grief, it is so easy to fall into a victim mentality, believing that the universe is doing things to you. This book taught me that what others say and do is a projection of their own reality, and by not taking it personally, I could free myself from unnecessary suffering and focus on my own path. It was a crucial step in my healing journey and helped me realize that I had the power to create a new story for myself.

Another incredibly impactful book was The Dark Side of the Light Chasers. This book gave me permission to look at the parts of myself I had always hidden or been ashamed of. It taught me that true healing and wholeness come not from pretending to be a perfect “light chaser,” but from acknowledging and loving the shadow parts of myself as well. It was a difficult but necessary process to face my own trauma, anger, and fears, and to understand that those feelings were not a sign of weakness. Instead, they were signposts pointing me toward the parts of myself that needed to be loved and integrated. The book’s central lesson—that the gold is found in the darkness—is a truth that has become a core belief for me and a guiding principle behind the work we do at Marc of Healing.
